Excellent points, monster. Nobody has really stepped up for Atlanta to offset the Carroll loss, while several have stepped up for the Cavs...I would add Shumpert to your list. Meanwhile, the Warriors remain largely untouched by the injury bug.
I would add Patrick Beverly to the devastating injury discussion. I love (or hate, when he's playing the Wolves) his defense at the PG position, and the Houston/Warriors series would have been decidedly different if he were available to defend Curry. Really a shame...could have been a terrific series.

Plus Howard being banged up. If all four teams were healthy it would still probably be a Cleveland/Golden State final. I'm just not sure if the finals will be any better than last year's Spurs/Heat one.

The point about Beverly affecting the GS series just brings up why CP3 while I love the all-around ability he has drives me bonkers sometimes. Dude should have been lighting up the Rockets PGs. Those guys played solid D on that end but CP3 should absolulty should have killed those guys whenever he wanted to. That's not his mindset and it's hard to find fault with him because of everything he brings you damn he hurts his team sometimes because he doesn't look for his own shot. He had a terrific playoffs though. Really it was more other guys not stepping up that lost the series not him being more aggressive offensively.

Well the question is who's "chances to win the ECF" has been hindered more by injury. The Cavs are flat out a more talented team with 3 superstars, while the Hawks have a collection of good players who play together. For that reason I say Hawks with Carroll, Thabo and Korver probably being a bigger portion of their talent out or slowed by injury compared to the Cavs who still have the best player on the planet, solid players around him and a banged up star in Irving.
