RUBIO is not JASON KIDD end of story. KIDD knocked down 3's on that championship team. rubio cant even knock down a 1foot layup.

Wouldn't mind getting him honestly. I hate how he plays basketball (BBIQ and shot selection), but boy do we need a 20 point threat off the bench.

You're trolling right? This isn't a serious suggestion I hope.

why isnt it serious? barea plays well with a pass first pg. he played at the 2 with a hall of famer.

I know Ricky has been disappointing this year to many, but I put this team's faults solely on the 2nd unit.
Best point of this whole thread. We don't need to run out and trade for Jhrue or Rajon (as if that would happen anyway) Flip in his first year, has work to do. Nice starting five, thanks mostly to McHale - the bench is a JOKE

Quincy, I enjoy that you're posting on these threads. I really do. More people, more opinions. Thing is, these types of suggestions are either really funny and good for a laugh... or insanely ridiculous. Barea as the starting SG is a dumb idea and no problem is solved. It just creates a handful of other problems while not fixing anything.

First off, Happy New Year everybody!
Khans hit the nail on the head. The bottom-line is that our starting lineup as a unit gets the job done. The only two starting lineups that have a better average +/- while on the floor together is Indiana and Golden State (I'm excluding a couple of make-shift starting lineups due to injury that have a low sample size of minutes). Our starting lineup has an even better +/- than Portland's!
While our starting unit is by no means constructed in a conventional or ideal manner, it is what it is right now and it seems to work very effectively for the most part. If I'm in the front office or Rick Adelman, I'm not going to tinker with something that works when we have such glaring issues elsewhere on the roster.
The good news is that fixing a bench is a much, much, much less daunting task than fixing a starting lineup. The only problem is that we're running out of time and options when it comes to this season.
