Apples and oranges, basshole. The redcoats were a huge favorite in that matchup...in fact, Vegas had it off the board. The Wolves, in contrast, are only favored by 1 1/2. I need a better historical analogy.

I expect Brewer to start at SG and Mbah a Moute to get the start at SF. MaM is a good matchup for Jeff Green and we need someone at the wing to match his rebounding ability, or try to at least.

I love how Shved's getting productive as of late. Easy to say since he was invisible for the start of the season, but as we get closer to the second fourth of the season, he might be able to contribute off the bench. Cross our fingers and make our wishes. We need him.

Robbie should still see significant minutes tonight. Love the way he's been playing as well.

Well, I said it was an important game. And there are takeaways from this game.

NONE of them are good. I only saw the second half. But it was terrible. There are no excuses for that vs. that team.


[Note: Sullinger is going to have a very nice career if he can stay away from back problems. Boston is letting him loose on 3 pointers this season and it's only going to add to his solid, if unspectacular game.]

That C's announcer was painful to listen too. Clearly he must be some kind of relic in Boston, because that's what he sounds like with his over the top homerism, reminds me of don cherry a bit.

Boston has a thing for homer announcers though, the Bruins play by play guy is also a disgrace.

As for the game, we lost it because of Ricky, Brewer and FT shooting.

Add another one to the list of L's to mediocre eastern conference teams, that should tell us where we truly stand.

Also, Budge hopefully comes back soon because that rolled ankle by Dante looked nasty.

Are there a lot of out-of-town Wolves fans on this forum? Tommy Heinsohn is an NBA announcing "legend." Meaning, he's been around a long time. But he sucks balls at his job.

Too many announcing teams have become unabashed homers. I think that's insulting to the audience... even if they are fans of the team. We have eyes. We can see. Don't lie.

That being said... I think the Wolves FSN crew has improved significantly. I used to use the ESPN space to throw in the daily homer quote from Jim Peterson. My favorite remains the Al Jefferson best footwork since Olajuwon comment.

But they're pretty damn good, in comparison. Peterson's time with the Lynx has added a bit more of the Xs and Os stuff to the broadcast. And they are not nearly the homers they used to be... or at least compared to the majority of teams around the league.

You're right, Abe, Heinsohn is truly a legend....and a Hall of Famer. I was lucky to watch him with Bill Russell and Bob Cousy against the Lakers at the Minneapolis Armory. And they love him in Boston.

But he is a terrible announcer. He has been affiliated with the Celtics for almost 60 years as a player, coach and announcer, and he is a shameless homer. He has lost all ability to watch a Celtics game objectively. I actually kind of enjoy him because I understand where he comes from. But he is perhaps the worst announcer in the NBA right now.
