Whew... I thought you were going to go with Chris Duhon...
Heck no! I always liked Brevin Knight as a sleeper fantasy pick. When the guy wasn't hurt, he piled up steals and assists like nobody's business. But he wasn't much of a scoring threat, kind of like Ricky.

Ricky is who he is. Part of our disappointment is that our expectations were WAY too high (and some people here still cling to those, but they're also generally the people who would argue Rubio is still a top PG in the league). I've said basically since we drafted him that he's a much better defending, much worse shooting Jose Calderon. And that's basically what he is. That's still pretty good, but it's not going to get us over the top or anything.

It is frustrating though. Because of small improvements in his offensive efficiency and his aggressiveness to get to the hole and he would have the numbers to be looked at as a top tier pg. I think the comparison to Calderon is fair but Rubio's intangibles (size and length) which are part of what make him a better defender than Jose should translate to a higher upside than Jose.

Rubio has picked it up the last 2 games.
He has to play at this level for the Wolves to make the playoffs

Lovin the confidence offensively for Ricky the last 2 nights. Hopefully he sustains that.

Rubio now at career highs in FG%, FT%, 2-pt%, 3-PT%, eFG%, and TS%.
Granted, his version of a career high is still pretty poor. But at least he's trending in the right direction. Let's hope his recent moderate success on offense continues.

He shot 3 straight shots with confidence yesterday. Lo and behold... they went in.
Good to see. Hopefully, it's not the anomaly.
