Would anyone consider trading Pekovic for a solid a top 10 SF and a good backup center?

I don't like paying Pek 12 mil, but we cannot live without a starting C. Dieng might make Pek tradeable sometime in the future, but not this year.

People asked this before we signed him. The "Pek for Batum" idea kept being brought up. I'd rather have Pek.

Glad we could make the Piston's feel good.

Let's bring on the regular season!

Lol from what I saw we were playing our backups down the stretch and Detroit left their starters in. Correct?

Pretty much. The Pistons are pretty beat up with injuries though, so it was somewhat out of necessity.

Wasn't able to watch the game, but his box score isn't bad. 35 mins, 13 points, 6-10 FG, 1-3 3pt, 6 rebs, 3 steals. Missed all three of his free throws, though.

Love is in good form. Barring injuries, he will have a great year.

Regarding our sf position. Unless we pull off a trade for a sf, I expect dante to get some starts at the 3 this year. Even last year when williams and cunningham play together along with a center, adelman have dante guarding the opposing sf rather than williams.

I know dante is a backup player in the league, but so is brewer and the current version of williams. What dante brings at the sf position is size, athletecism, hustle, effort, mid range shooting and off ball movements. We are not going to be a top caliber team if dante cunningham is our starting sf, but as of now, we may have to get by with him seeing time there and getting some starts until we could pull off a trade or williams starts to step up.

Personally, I hope williams finally puts it together, I want to see him start at he 3 and want him to succeed. But he has not had a good preseason as far as instilling confidence that he can play the 3 consistently.

What I learned from watching the BOS/MIN game was that D-Will doesn't know what the hell to do on the court when he's with the starters. He didn't really move much without the ball and when he got it he either took a few dribbles and passed back to PG or he played iso ball. I don't understand him.
