I heard DWill started just so RA can sort out the small forward position. Corey is going to start barring a significant trade. I watched the game tonight and came away with the following:

1) Love has to stay healthy, and if he does I see no reason why he can't reestablish himself as one of the top players in the game.

2) DWill is not a good fit with the starting lineup. It causes him to stand around even more on offense, and renders him a defensive role player. Definitely not his game.

3) I don't like Martin's overall game. On a championship level team he comes off the bench to spark an offense. It's one reason I think this organization has placed ceiling on how good we can become.

4) Ricky may be better offensively this year, but it doesn't look like the quantum leap we were hoping for. He would be at his best in an up-tempo offense, but the cast assembled here is never going to be that. Having him walk the ball up court and play pick and roll can be effective, but it's not maximizing his abilities.

5) Turiaf brings a nice work ethic but has 2 by 4's for hands. Hopefully Dieng can come on and take those minutes.

6) I still like what JJ brings to this team. I don't think we want him to play 20 minutes every night, but he's still a very good NBA player and can help us win some games.

7) Shved looks exactly the same and that's disappointing. Another guy that shouldn't get too much time.

8) Still like the Brewer acquisition. He's a better player than he was on first tour here. It's hard to quantify but he just makes us better.

It will be fun to compete for a playoff spot this year since it's been so long for us. But that's about all we're going to do. This team isn't built to contend now nor in the near to intermediate future. I predict 46 wins.

And how nice is it to have some 3-point shooters again?!?

The return of Bud could make things pretty interesting...

Tim, What the heck is his status!? I've seen zero information since he was first injured.

I can't tell you guys how much of a Dante Cunningham fan I am. Love everything he brings to the game when he's on the court. Good defender, mid-range jumper's solid and there might not be a bench player in the entire league that plays with more effort than he does. Everything you want your backup PF to be.

By the way, K-Love played good defense tonight. Glad to see him buy in on that end.

Our starting backcourt of Rubio and Martin combined for 7 from 11 from behind the arc!

I missed the game, but I'm about to watch the replay. I looks at the box score. Interesting that Jeffers, Hummel, Price, and Chris Johnson each got only 3 minutes on the court tonight -- which suggests that Adelman and Flip have already made their decision on who if any of these players will stick. I noticed that Brown wasn't even listed in the box score. Does anyone know if anybrecentndevelopments with him?

I'm convinced the Wolves will make a trade for anotherwing before the season starts. I think the Wolves will move Williams and/or Shved as part of the deal.

I think you are reading into it. Shabazz also had 3 minutes if I remember right. Would anybody be suprised if DWill, Shabazz, and Shved are traded?

I think Shabazz is safe. I'd be okay with trading Shved and D-Will if the return is significant. If it's not, then I don't want to deal both of them.

Camden -- I agree. Flip won't deal Shabazz. And I'm with you in being comfortable with dealing Willams and/or Shved for the right return. I'd really like to see a deal that lands us a starting caliber defensive SF.
