Kevin Love in an article today on ESPN. Nice.
"People think it's so far-fetched that I would stay in Minnesota," Love told GQ magazine. "And I'm not s------- on the Lakers, but we [the Timberwolves] have the better team, the better foundation. I'm having fun."

I was just about to post this. Just the other day he said he liked Minnesota and wants to turn this thing around. I think Love wants to be here. Plus his ego is too big to accept the failure of never getting into the playoffs with him being "the man." If he signs for the max, after that contract is up and he still hasn't made noise in the playoffs, he'll only be about 30 years old. He can leave then.

It looks like the Wolves are going to do anything any their power to re sign Love.
They are targeting large expiring contracts for that off season (Prince/Nelson) to give them maximum cap space.

I haven't seen anything about Nelson, but man am I down for that. I name-dropped him several months ago as a target to be our bench PG.

The Wolves have no other choice but to go for broke, right?

Jerry Zdoga reported it on twitter Cam:
"If JJ is dealt to Memphis by Thursday, point guard Wolves target as replacement could be Jameer Nelson rather than Andre Miller"

Yeah because basketball players have a ton of time to enjoy paradise during the season lol... Love can do SOCal during the offseason....
And when was the last time LAL had to rebuild? Because i really can't remember., As you say they did it time after time after time? Without Kobe they well suck for a long time, Who could they really trade for? or what super star can the get as a freeagent? I just don't see why love would want to go there... Howard wanted out of the shit hole for a reason..
Isn't that sort of the point? They don't really need to rebuild. The NBA is designed to give certain destinations an inherent advantage.
Los Angeles has been atop that list for almost the entirety of the past 50+ years.
But have they ever been in this bad of shape befor?they allways seen to have that next STAR to take over when the other one is about to leave,,Sure they might have cap room with kobe gone to get love but what else would they have to make love want to play form them.. Love would come off as a dick if he left the wolves just to join a shity LA team JMO...
I'ts funny how ESPN says trade love to LAL/NY or Dal... Who the hell do any of them have to offer?
Would he come off like a dick? Really? Would anybody care?
Didn't LeBron James, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony start in the ASG? Obviously, their "brands" weren't hurt too badly when leaving one team to go to another. And none of their former teams were regarded as poorly as the Wolves have been historically.
I never new Cle/NO/Den all won a CHIP befor... James was hated bad after he went to MIA same with paul.. But your prob right eveyone forgets in time... Is James still getting the BO birds in Cleavand? I have not seen a game there this year... The ASG is crap when it comes to how players get in... Like kobe has not played at all this year but yet he makes it? It happens every year a player that has not played that year makes it in...

My point isn't that each was necessarily deserving... but that the fans sure seem to like them enough to vote them in as starters.
In fact, Love might receive more criticism nationally by STAYING in Minnesota as silly as it sounds. We (as a collective NBA fanbase) have become used to players picking and choosing where they play and big-name guys leveraging their way where they want to go.
And that's sad and ultimately untenable...
