And the LAST THING Flip wants to do is put a time limit on his top free agent. The thought of that is preposterous, and I don't why you think this, and that person likes that post. "we should at least explore a trade for Asik.... This may light a fire under Pek. Worst case scenario, we get Pek back on his QO of six million for the year and get a chance to see what we have in Dieng." Jesus Christ, no no no no no no no. Yep, lets just insult our best center in franchise history by leaking rumors of us going after other starting centers. BRILLIANT! I just disagree completely, I am sorry.

Explain to me why that would insult our center, who is out looking for a better deal. Why isn't he insulting the team he said he wanted to stay with. If Flip has really given him an offer of 4 years and 50 mil, I would say that is exactly what he is doing. A starting salary of 11.7 mil seems like a pretty fair deal for a guy that is averaging 60 games a season.

When we did the S&T for Martin we did it to remain above the cap which kept our full MLE available to sign Brewer. We can sign Pek at any time.

Yes, but maybe something else is in play. I doubt it, but maybe. Plus, it seems little is going on with Pek, so that means after time he will have to sign.

Other than being done with the whole thing there isn't a whole lot of reason for Pek to hurry. Plus like other have said maybe all these moved had to be made before we wanted to sign Pek as well. IMO lets say the Wolves made the reported 4 year 50 million offer. Pek's folks may be seeing if anyone will make a bigger offer. Why not? I think that the offer is more than fair based on the market etc, but if you can get a better offer then why not try it? I don't think the Wolves are in a big hurry anyway. Flip basically made it sound like as soon as Pek got an offer from another team he would match it. its just a matter of time till he is under contract with the wolves.

Any thing we do from now on short of renouncing Pek, will be done in trades or with exceptions. I think we used both the MLE and LLE (or Bi-annual), so any other signing has to be a minimum level player.

The fact that nothing is going on should be reason for them to sign or for us to get a better deal. Just saying!
