I don't think they should be starting LaVine at PG. I'm fine with him getting some minutes there against the reserves. If Rubio is going to be out for more than a month, IMO they have to go get another PG. Losing and playing poorly doesn't help anyone's development. There's talent on this team. They just need a few guys who can be the glue to hold things together until the young guys get comfortable. Then look out!
I certainly can see this and it would allow Lavine to get playing time in the D-League.
getting rid of someone like Brewer just to get another PG would be beyond stupid. It's not hard to see the fact that they don't need another point guard as much as it is just having Mo play well. He doesn't even need to be as good as he was last night, he just can't be as bad as he was to the start the season

I think we would look at moving Bud for a PG or cut GR3 and sign one. I have not looked around and seen if any team needs a wing that might have an extra backup PG that would be serviceable.

Nobody is going to give anything of value for Bud without the Wolves having to throw in some kind of pick. It would be a dumb move just to get some teams 3rd string point guard. Also to go through the stuff of buying out JJ to keep GR3 just to cut him for a point guard after 10 games would be equally dumb
1. Wiggins' offensive game: "Disappearing act." This is a carry over from his reputation in college. He gets very passive on the offensive end and becomes pretty much a non-entity on the court. A lot of it has to do with his lack of skills. His ballhandling is really bad - even worse than I anticipated coming out of college. He's not much of a passer or rebounder either. But he could at least get after it the way Shabazz does. I'm really disappointed in what I've seen from him so far on the offensive end. However, while concerned, I'm not alarmed yet. He's a 19 year old rookie with less than a month of NBA play under his belt. I'll be watching his development closely over the course of the season.
I am surprised by this Lip. While I agree his offensive production fluctuates, he was amazing offensively in the second quarter. Granted he scored none the rest of the game with ample playing time. But he can't accomplish the positive things he does without skills. I am totally impressed with ease he can get to his spots on the floor. I am far from worried. I am more just excited for him to put it all together for 4 quarters. Just give it some time, he has it.
Nice win last night, thanks for the reports guys. Any win without 3 starters is great. Well, 2 good starters anyway. I like the aggressive, small ball lineups with AB and Robbie at center, and Bazz at PF. At least we're only paying Pek 10 million a year to be a backup!
Any GM's out there interested in a 300 lb center who's always hurt and can't make layups? No? He only has 4 years and 45 something million left?

No - beyond stupid would be not making a move to balance your roster if Rubio is going to be out significant time. There are a bunch of young guys who need to develop on this team. An accomplished PG would help that. An unaccomplished PG would hinder that. Just read Keven Martin's quote from today's Strib: "Big difference," Martin said. "I think we saw that in the Dallas game. When Mo came in and got me going ... he's just a veteran point guard in the backcourt with you. He knows your spots. He knows what you can do well out there after playing against you so many years. I give credit the last two games to Mo."
All the young guys benefit from having a PG that will get them the ball at the right time and create for them. If they really want LaVine to learn the PG position, then send him to the D-League. Personally, I'd rather see him play SG with an accomplished PG.
I 've been coming around on Wiggins a bit after talking up Parker over him so much in the offseason, but I'm getting too many flashbacks of Wes Johnson from that guy. Superb athlete. But does he have the skill to actually play basketball at the level we expect? Not right now he doesn't.
Holy balls, Corey! My favorite Wolf. I'd be seriously heartbroken if we traded him. And Muhammad looks like a kindred spirit. I like that guy more and more, and tonight he was tremendous.
Where are the guys who were trashing Mo and Martin a couple games ago?

I was thinking of a topic last night of whether people would the Wolves or Bucks as a whole franchise right now. Interesting comparison. The Bucks a really playing at a nice clip as a team. Looks like Kidd is going to end up being a good coach in the long run.
I still favor Wiggins. Love his abilities. I think he is going to be amazing. Parker will be good too from what I can see. But it is a clear choice for me.
As for a franchise, I think it is really a toss up. I think for young talent us and the Bucks are very close. I like that they have new ownership and a young dynamic coach. But I am particular to our players. I barely lean to the Wolves as a more promising franchise. May be a nice rivalry in a few years if both teams can keep their rosters health and in tact.
