Hahahahaha No kidding

Seems like he is a lot smarter than Kahn. McHale would have had Al, Love and Pek all at the same time. That doesn't seem to stupid to me even if they wouldn't have been good defensively. Or would you rather have given away Al for what ended up being almost nothing and have Ryan Hollins, Darko and AR? Yeah I'd have a hard time not saying something on that if I was McHale especially with Love now gone too.

The problem isn't having an embarrassment of riches. It's having an unbalanced team. While we kept stockpiling 4's, our wing situation was dreadful and it led to us having to give away a talent like Big Al for cheap because other teams knew we weren't gonna be able to have Love and Al coexist. Kevin McHale was ready to live or die with a faulty front court and Randy Foye.

I'm convinced that no matter what happens, this team will always stumble upon a good PF. We just don't have anyone in the organization that feels that way

Really my point is that I think McHale at the very least has a legit reason to say what he in what was posted. Its hard not to argue the Wolves would have been better off with Al and Love than Al and the garbage that Kahn brought in whether is was bigs or wings. Love is gone now and Flip is totally in charge so McHale probably feels like its time he can say something if prompted. Thats all.

but would we though?

We know McHale was very clingy when it came to his guys (remember, HE was making the decisions, so he would have never believed that he was building a team the wrong way, so if it was proven that the two couldn't coexist, would he have cut the cord? The answer is no.) We didn't break up the next great duo.

The problem with the Al Jefferson and Kevin Love pairing isn't whether they could actually gel on the court together.

It's that they were never given a reasonable chance to do so! It was beyond stupid for THAT regime to stick with their preconceived notions about the issue when the team was so inept. They had nothing to lose by playing them together more. But I truly believe the greatest flaw with that regime was not knowing what they had with Kevin Love and how versatile he could be. Remember, they were wrong about just about everything with the guy.

They played Ryan Hollins AND Darko Milicic (AT THE SAME TIME) ahead of Kevin Love.

Please, please... somebody explain how a team would think Hollins and Milicic is a more suitable frontline than Jefferson and Love.

Fucking Kahn. Worst GM in NBA history. I'm convinced of this. (Plus he ate his own ear wax on television. Shame.)

The only thing McHale should be saying is "I'm sorry". The audacity of him and Kahn both after doing such a piss poor job here and trying to defend themselves after the fact. Its disgusting.

David Kahn is the best thing that could have happened to McHale's legacy.
