Great report Wild! Fun read after watching the game on the tube. I've noticed the same thing you observed about the demeanor on the bench. In the past we've seen a lot of indifference among those sitting on the bench. That has definitely changed. All the players on the bench seem engaged and actively pulling for their teammates.

One thing from last night that I was surprised to hear, was Pek during an interview said that Flip was running a different play in the last minute and Rubio said no, that they were going to Pek. Nice to see that Flip is taking suggestions. Don't think Rubio would have even spoken up last season with Adelman.

I thought it was Flip was drawing up a play for Rubio and Pek said no that they were going to him. Why in the world would you draw up a play for Rubio first of all, second of all why wouldn't you draw a play for Pek considering how he was playing?

This is from the ESPN recap story quoting Pek

"That was the plan," Pekovic said. "That's what Coach said. I'm glad the guys really believe in me and they start calling plays for me. Coach called something and Ricky (Rubio) said, `No, no, we give the ball to him."

Another sign of Ricky's emerging leadership. Pek will never forget Ricky's show of confidence in him. That's how leaders get their teammates to follow. Like when Jordan told Kerr he was going to get the ball to him for that last second shot.
