I'm sure it won't surprise anyone that I didn't like Love's essay at all. Frankly, I felt like I needed to take a shower after reading it. It was typical Love passive aggressive, manipulative, narcissistic BS. I felt a combination of disgust and relief that he is gone. Judd Zulgud is generally a balanced sports writer, I think, and like me he sees through Love's crap. Here's what he wrote yesterday about Love's essay

I agree with this take, although perhaps I might not be so kind. I felt the same sense of relief when I read Love's post-game locker room comments a couple days ago, the first indication I have seen that he may not be happy playing second, third or even fourth fiddle. I'm feeling quite grateful that I finally have a basketball team that I can throw myself behind 100%.
