I think Sam is a special case. If you think about it. Jordan really have not helped any of his young players. I think Mo Williams was a good Terry Porter type addition. Someone that will want to coach. Someone that has been an all-star and played with better players. He was a great pickup.

I think Sam was also just good enough to back it up. I remember back when he was playing he went off about how they got embarrased by GS the last time they played him and Sam said that wasn't happening again he went off for over 20 points in that game and the Wolves won.

I think yeah Rose was talking about vet guys with more cred than who we have and what I like about Rose is he really does still think like a player and Rose saw just about everything in his career. I'm not saying I agree with everything he says but I like to hear and see his perspective some things he says arew quite insightful. I think he answers a lot of questions with what he thinks more often than not instead of saying BS.

This is clearly "infotainment" with the emphasis on the "tainment." But it's tough to argue with most of their takes. Rose is wrong that Rubio is not a good defender, but it seemed like he was talking about his on the ball defending, which is not nearly as good as his off the ball defense. He also overlooked some of our quality vets, but overall, I think he was making a good point about teams in the league overall, like Orlando and the 76ers. If I had to review 30 teams, I'm sure I'd probably also overlook some of their bench guys. And Rubio's shooting has really killed us, especially at the end of games when the defense just collapses. Plenty of guys here have said the same thing, and it's one of the reasons people seem excited to have Mo around to play that kind of Sam Cassell closer role we've been looking for.

Not sure if negative comments are allowed here, but I also think Simmon's point about how much more confident we could be with this team if we had gotten Parker is definitely true. Yes, the draft and the trade are done, but some of us really thought Parker would be better than Wiggins, and it'll be tough to watch if it plays out like that. Parker really does look like a sure thing all-around great player, and Wiggins looks like a guy with great defense, lots of energy, and flashes of athletic brilliance. I'd rather have the former 10 times out of 10.

Drew, I disagree with the Parker comments. From what I have watched, he has been a more aggressive offensive player compared to AW, but by no means has he been anything special. His offensive efficiency in pre-season has been marginal at best, and he looks like a tweener. I think the I'd like to wait for at least a few months of the regular season before I crown him.

Parker I think is rated above Wiggins to people that value how competitive Parker is and his ready made skills. Simmons talks about guys that get it and I think when he talks about guys that have got it his takes are very worth listening to. I have a friend that rated Parker as his favorite player in the draft for these reasons.

Me? Idk after Embiid's foot injury I woulda been happy with either Parker or Wiggins but I like Wiggins defensive abilities I value defense a lot. Hopefully for both franchise both guys become at least really good players.

I'm not sure I agree with Simmons WHY Parker is the better prospect. I haven't seen enough to think that Wiggins isn't competitive. I love how quickly he goes up for rebounds, and I think that's definitely a sign that he actually does put in a lot of effort and is competitive.

I just think Parker is all-around more skilled. He's like a less selfish Carmelo Anthony or a better ballhandling Paul Pierce or a bigger James Harden with better defense. It's just tough to see him NOT becoming an All-Star and easy to see him being a top 10-15 player someday.

Sidenote: Its kinda funny how one reason I liked Harden going all the way back to the draft was his length and potential to actually be a defender and now he is basically looked at as a joke on that side of the ball. I just don't get it how he is so bad and he played for OKC that was a defensive team. Oh well.

One other thing about this preview is it seems like they didn't really realize that GR3 was in that video of guys dunking in the "challenge" theyseemed to think he was Wiggins. Lol
