Fantastic A++ job Flip! I really like what Flip has done this year. Great talent and great character guys to boot. I haven't been this excited about the Wolves future in a long long time.

Flip has done everything and more that I wanted with this team. When it was a Pipedream I said the only deal I would want for Love was one with Wiggins. I am shocked it happened. This team is going to be very exciting and I am sure Flip is salivating to coach this much athletic talent.

Pretty sure I had plenty of people who called me crazy/wrong for thinking the Wolves could command a trade package like Wiggins, Waiters and Thompson. That's the package that I thought was coming our way before we found out much, if any, news on the subject. Stayed strong on that throughout.
It turns out, we did just as good as that package, if not better. I'd like to toot my horn and give a handshake to whoever else thought the same was possible. So many arguments that took place about Kevin Love's trade value, as well as the value of prospects that hadn't done anything in this league yet.
We made it! Pop the champagne! We won the NBA Finals -- err, too soon. We still traded our star player, which sucks big time. More hope and potential it is, but I'll gladly take it given the circumstances. I like what the future could bring.

Il shake your hand cam. I was calling for a love for #1 trade before draft day and wiggins was the guy I wanted. All this before Lebron goes home.
After lebrons home coming, I was certain and adamant that cavs is the only team we should trade with and argued against the warriors, rockets, celtics and bulls trade. I also said that cavs will prefer to trade us Bennett instead of Tristan because they could get by with a 3 big rotation of love/varejao/tt. Il give flip credit for getting philly involved and getting us young.

Cam, at the begining I was very high on a trade that will include Waiters along with Wiggins. Previous to the trade, I`ve read most of your posts about the trade possibilities and you consistantly gave me some hope Waiters is in the deal.
At the time I thought Love will go with Barea and Hummel (Otherwise, why did we sign him so soon?) for Wiggins, Waiters, Benett and a 1st pick + salarries, but I guess, in retrospect, Labron`s letter named Waiters & thompson set the tone.
Don`t get me wrong I`m thrilled how the deals ends up and like Team Ricky said I haven't been this excited about the Wolves future in a long long time.

I haven't seen the PC yet but I think Flip has done a very good job since taking over the job. I'm actually higher on his last offseason than most. On that subject I think many of us assumed some of the guys he brought in were Adelman guys and yet he has held onto everyone he brought in last year except Luc.
Back to this offseason Flip has brought in a heck of. A deal. For the Wolves signed a cheap vet combo guard and has a roster that has salaries that allow for a pretty good amount of flexability. There is young talent everywhere. I wasn't going to get the league pass this year but I'm too curious I'l have to throw down the cash. That's how excited I am about what Flip has done this team seems primed to be similar to the teams Flip coached in the KG era. Team, guys playing hard playing together etc. This could be the beginning of something really special.

Robson nails it again. I especially like the coins analogy!

Kudos to Cam for the persistence about #1/Wiggins as a realistic target. Predraft, I thought the Klay deal would be the best available and never thought Cleveland would offer #1 for Love. Based off of the Sunday Sermons interview, it sounds like Cleveland was actively looking to make that trade at that time. The problem I saw, that was possibly the stumbling block, was Love's reluctance to agree to go there at that time and the main reason I never bought into it. After the insiders knew LeBron was going home, fortunately it fell into place and was more believable for most everyone else.

I gotta say, Flip almost had the perfect off season. Looking back, if he could of also landed Joreger to coach this team, it would be the best offseason in Minnesota history. The timing just happened to be way off. The Wolves looked like the worst situation in the league, and probably scared Joreger off in the end. I would imagine, if the Griz situation happened now, he would be pumped to coach this team.
I don't want Flip to coach, just because it seems like he should be spending all his time being a GM. He's been pretty good at it so far

I've been behind every move Flip has made, except for the Shabazz pick to a degree, but I think this is clearly his best. I know Love's really good but when's the last time a number 1 overall pick was traded after only 1 season or without having played a single game? Flip got back to back number 1's, that represents significantly more potential than this team has had since KG and Marbury. On top of that Flip also was able to acquire a top 10 player at the same position as the guy he traded away. Overall Flip did a fantastic job here.
An underrated but important point is the type of personalities Flip acquired. None of the three are true outspoken leaders or have big personalities that could overshadow or overwhelm Rubio. In my opinion this trade forces Rubio to be the leader of the team which will help his game and help the team as a whole.
