Pek is an anchor is more ways than one (good and bad), and I can't see him and Mirotic doing well together on D. Offensively they seem like a good match. Putting those two on the floor with McDemott seems like a recipe for disaster.

As Bleed states, you are forgetting that Gibson would give us an elite defender who would likely be paired with Pek in the starting lineup. And while we really don't know how well Mirotic will be able to defend in the NBA, the scouting on him at least indicates that there is a willingness to defend. Let's not just assume because he's a European big man that he is incapable of providing any resistance.

I think a big man rotation of Pek, Dieng, Gibson, and Mirotic offer a very good balance of offense, post scoring, outside shooting, and defense.

I don't think there is any way Flip could get all 4 of them. It's pick 3, not 4. Perhaps if Brewer or Martin was sent with, but not likely.

I would give up Martin in addition to Love for Gibson to be included with McDermott, Butler, and Mirotic.

Keep in mind that McDermott and Mirotic were signed recently as well so the 30 days applies to any Bulls deal.

Wasn't this post answered in all of the draft analysis or does summer league mean more now that McDermott made some 3s?

Would this leave us with one of the most unathletic teams in the League tho? Something the Wolves should be avoiding tto cater to Rubios style of play?

I'm not forgetting Taj, but if you notice I stated future assets. I've watched Mirotic play, and the only reason his stats look good is because of the competition. He will be a bad fit with Pek, and add McDermott into the equation and we better be playing unbelievable team defense.

Someone mentioned McBuckets as a better Wally. If he was just a healthy Wally that would be a very good player. People forget this but Wally was actually a pretty good athlete and was one of the best shooters in the league when healthy. He could hit a shot from anywhere. And it was basically a 50% it was going to go in and he was very good in transition. Yeah Wally had some flaws but if he would have been healthy his strengths (including rebounding) were massive assets. If you ever noticed KG's FG% would always go up when Wally would come back from injury.
