"OKC wouldn't deal Ibaka straight up for Love"
Right. Because Ibaka's more valuable, right?

Ibaka is the best defensive PF in the game with maybe an exception to Davis, I think all around Love, Griffin, Aldridge, are the only locks better than him (with Duncan a C). That's just my personal opinion.
Also don't think Kevin Love is the top PF. But that's just my opinion as well.
The trade also hampers OKC's bench even more, because it takes away their one playmaker Jackson.

Also Westbrook has a better chance at being a top 2 PG in the next five years than arguably anyone. He averaged more points, rebounds, steals and assists than Parker and played only one more minute a game. Only one better when healthy is CP3.

He is at his current contract. OKC can't afford 3 max guys. What don't you understand about that?
OKC chose Ibaka over Harden. They sure as hell would choose him over Love as well.
Re: Crazy idea I had at work
I'll comment on this because I am bored and this trade actually seems somewhat well thought out. 2 problems though in my mind.
1. Asik is only signed for 1 more year so that's trading for 2 players who could be gone after the season.
2. I haven't paid really close attention but I've got the feeling OKC likes Adams a lot and he could be a similar player to Asik in the near future so that may not make adding Asik as a big asset in the trade.
Also I think for all his issues Westbrook is a heck of an all-around player he reminds me of Scottie Pippen in all the stuff he can do and yet has some issues in his brain. Westbrook bothers me sometimes but he is a heck of a talent and one that I think meshes well with Durant based on their strenths and weakness.

I'll agree Ibaka is the second-best defensive PF in the league. His offense and rebounding are average at best. Ranking players is, as you said, opinion. That said, Jackson is already starting at PG for them. The only thing this trade would change is their starting lineup.

If Westbrook is traded for Love, they would still only have two max contracts. You have to look at the whole thing.

This is the best case scenario for us. Cant see it happening though. Westbrook has his flaws, but he a very very good compliment to durant. A top 10 caliber player like love. Okc wont do it. Ibaka for love, maybe but not ibaka and westbrook. Asis is not on the level of ibaka to make okc consider it.

They can't deal Ibaka for Love. The $ difference is too much. Also, Ibaka is a better fit for OKC.
OKC is not an option as a trading partner. They don't need Love. In fact, they don't need to make any drastic changes. It's their bench that is a problem.
