Lip, This is where Flip talks out of his arse. It's true that players can improve over the course of 4-5 years. Heck, look at Kevin Love. But you can pretty much conclude what kind of player in general you have after 2-3 years, and sometimes even earlier.

We knew after 3 seasons that Kevin Love was really, really good. He's gotten even better since. We knew after 3 years that Brewer was never going to be a great outside shooter, ball handler, or playmaker. We knew after a little more than 2 seasons that Derrick Williams was not going to be a star. We know that Rubio will never be a highly efficient scorer. We just hope he gets a little better....

He works as a Knicks Analyst for MSG and he also does some CBS sports stuff for college basketball.
