He couldn't very well say 46 wins. Then the wolves would have to win 14 of the final 19, and fans would give up (if they haven't already).

it's a shame too because when we came into that Knicks game the fans were about to explode, the place was electric at the beginning and the Wolves got beat down from the opening tip

Then they shouldn't have said anything. As I've said before, the group running our basketball operations right now don't appear to be very bright.
