Jesus, everything is going wrong for this team.
There's no good replacement for SloMo on this roster. Yes, he's been pretty disappointing given how good he was playing at times not long ago. But he really does bring a lot to the table that we absolutely need with a combination of size/length, playmaking, defense, and the occasional shotmaking.
JMac could theoretically provide a bit of playmaking, but he hasn't been as good as Kyle, and he's such a liability in so many ways on the floor.
Minott gives us a bit of length, and I love his energy, so I could potentially see some minutes. But he's not going to give us any of the savvy poise or playmaking SloMo brings.
The best will be to hope that Prince and Rivers can scrap together great games.

Kyle Anderson also has issues with his back.
I might not have all the facts. But as far as I've been able to find, he's sitting out because of an eye injury. I didn't see the injury. This is what I've found explaining it:
"Anderson suffered what the team called a left eye/facial contusion after teammate Anthony Edwards inadvertently hit Anderson in the face late in the third quarter of Game 4"
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/362 ... -g5-denver
I'm sure it's bad. But I was shocked he wasn't suiting up. We literally have 9 healthy guys now. Nowell still has knee issues. And Minott/Moore are unplayable rookies (thus far). It's frustrating as hell. We are a bad foul night away from Nathan Knight playing important minutes in an elimination game. I just thought Anderson could give us something - even if he only has one eye. But as I've written previously - I don't know the full extent of his injury. It's going to be an interesting night....
I think they need to try to steal some minutes with Minott. I mean, the guy plays with a ton of energy and I think both teams are going to be dragging a bit after that last game and the travel back west.
And while it's somewhat counter-intuitive, I'd get Minott off the bench early so that he plays with mostly first shift guys.

I support that! Wouldn't be a great story? The rookie comes off the end of the bench and drops a double double in an elimination game. Other than Anthony Edwards, we really don't have any good stories to hang our hats on. It's going to be a long off season (especially without a #1)

Indeed it will be long. And I'm not convinced they should blow up the KAT/Gobert pairing. Not because I think those two are going to lead us to contention, but I just have a hard time understanding how the return we get from them makes us better. We may need to be patient for a while. And there is no indication either of them are preventing Ant from his ascension to the team leader. Hell, he's been easily our best player in the playoffs.

Anderson has missed games over the years including this season due to back spasms etc that is what I was referring to. It’s not like back issues are new to him or whatever.
Anderson isn’t even traveling due to his eye. I think it’s pretty clear one way or another he isn’t actually healthy/medically cleared to play. My guess is his eyeball actually has a cut in it.
