Very strange. Have to wonder if Kyle fully appreciates what it means to renounce his U.S. citizenship and become a Chinese citizen. I know Rudy punched him, but I thought he hit Kyle in chest, not the head. :)
FWIW everything I have read has assumed that he had to give up citizenship because that’s typically what has been expected before but the latest round of athletes in the last few months that have done so (naturalizing to china to play for national teams) there is no absolute reporting on that happening. It would not shock me if that wasn’t enforced.

Something else to consider as a business decision Anderson may end up with some endorsements playing on the Chinese basketball national team. Maybe that’s where he goes after his NBA days are over. I don’t think he is doing this because he is looking to cash in on endorsements it it might be a nice bonus.

Kat officially playing for the DR

*I’m wrong he is on the extended roster but all signs are him playing.

If you want a bet DR is +450 to win their group and Kat is significantly the best player in that group

when I went to the Nets game and I saw my friends present the jersey to him, I just had a feeling he'd go.

Italy might be a tough out, but DR got the best possible break. If they advance past that pool, they're in a new pool with a Jokic-less Serbian team that DR played nearly dead even the last time the played in FIBA qualifiers 3 years ago (and that team had Micic, Bjelica, Boban, Teodosic)

Matteo Spagnolo named “preseason” MVP for the warmup international games for the Fiba World Cup. There is no promises he makes the final cuts for Italy (4 players still need to be cut) but he was really good in exhibition play including a 13/5/5 +28 in a blowout win against Slow Mo China squad

Thanks Kek I saw Anderson had his Debut against Italy and wondered if Spagnolo was playing. I wasn’t even sure if he was healthy. It’s good to see that he is healthy and playing. Below is the extended highlights from the game. Spagnolo played in the first half and china was actually up early. Wonder what Spagnolo’s plus minus was…lol

Ant has been dominating defensively in the exhibition against PR. Kessler is not in the rotation

Hey don't forget the 2 rebounds! His defense in the first half was amazing. That's the next step we need to see back home. And man, Haliburton is so nice. Would kill to have him as our pg.

I don't think PR has any NBA starters on their roster. Tremont Waters might be their best player. AE should be killing it.
