Dame’s NOT the bad guy. That’s why I put the term in quotes. But Portland is obviously trying to frame it in a way that absolves the organization of any blame for losing him. It’s unnecessary in my view. Just admit to a joint parting of the ways and get a good deal for Dame. That will make the fan base happy.Monster wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 11:24 amYeah I was thinking Dane Moore also. LolLipoli390 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 11:07 amAt first I thought you meant Dane Moore.. Yep, Dame has finally asked for a trade. Surprised it took this long. The Blazers decided to begin a rebuild before the draft but forced Lillard to be the “bad guy” and ask out.
The the question of the day is this: Where will Lillard end up? Lead suitors in my view are Miami, Lakers, Clippers, Knicks, and Sixers. I think he’ll end up in Miami. Pat Riley always seems to get what he wants.![]()
I don’t see why Dame is the bad guy. He kept saying he wanted to stay when other guys may have asked out. It makes sense for him to move on and the Blazers to get something for him. The Blazers weren’t gonna just send him somewhere in a deal.
Yeah we agree. I just read the quote from the Blazers GM. Yeah you could say they are willing to let Dame be the bad guy I was giving them some benefit of the doubt as it’s a tough SL plot regardless. Ultimately I don't think there is a bad guy but I also really don’t care that much either. I do hope for Portland fans that they get something fairly good for Dame and I wish the best for him too.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 4:56 pmDame’s NOT the bad guy. No kidding. It's an absolute steal at this point.BloopOracle wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 7:39 pm The further free agency goes on the better Naz Reid's contract looks![]()
I wouldn’t look to Houston as a good measuring stick of success. Houston is making a lot of dumb decisions in my view. The Lakers re-signed Reaves for about the same as we’re paying Naz. That’s a better measure.Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 9:08 pmNo kidding. How many undrafted guys got at least 10+ million a year this offseason? FVV got 40+ million. I know the salaries are rising and all that but it does seem like a lot of undrafted guys got paid which I think is kinda awesome.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 10:04 pmI wouldn’t look to Houston as a good measuring stick of success.
