2019/20 season and 2020/21 seasons:
KAT - 85 games. 5.7 VORP
Zion - 85 games. 4.7 VORP.
Zion missed all of 2021/22 season with foot injury. KAT played 74 games - so there's that. But then...
2022/23 season:
KAT - 29 games. 1.2 VORP
Zion - 29 games. 1.9 VORP.
So...if you have concerns about Zion's health - shouldn't you also have concerns about KAT? He's rapidly closing in on 30. And he's played exactly the same amount of games as Zion in three of the last four season.

I think the bigger issue is that Zion does the vast majority of his scoring from 10-feet in and isn't much of a threat to shoot. Add him to Gobert and there is no where for Ant to drive without running into a wall of defenders. Not good synergy there.

Lol. KAT’s rapidly closing in on 28, not 30. Beyond that, I’ll just say that foot injuries on big guys at the beginning of their careers are especially troubling. And there were lots of questions even before Zion was drafted about whether his body would hold up under his weight, especially given the way he plays.
But Q is right that the bigger issue is the fit with Gobert. Our spacing for Ant is already compromised simply by having Rudy among our starting five. Rudy and Zion together would be really bad.

Nope. I don’t think he wants it bad enough…he’s not JR Rider, but he’s also not Jimmy Butler. I like what TC is building in regards to team identity. And it’s not Zion. I think Zion likes the money and fame more than the game……but Dame? Now that’s a name to go after.
