So far, swapping Prince for Brown so they could sign Milton is an awesome move for TC. I liked Prince, but Brown seems to do everything Prince did without being injury prone.
GDT: Wolves at Bulls
Re: GDT: Wolves at Bulls
Uh.
This bench is good. We have some guys that are going to need rest this year and I really feel (as Luka makes three) like this is by far the deepest team I've ever seen in Minnesota...by quite a bit

Re: GDT: Wolves at Bulls
Fun watching the third stringers holding their own against Vucevic, Derozan and some other regular rotation players.
Re: GDT: Wolves at Bulls
Not only has Nix been good for two games, the fact he is getting minutes over any other two-way candidate suggests he will get our third two-way.
Re: GDT: Wolves at Bulls
I hope you are right. I think technically Matt Ryan is holding it, but reports suggested that the other Exhibit 10 guys would have a chance to take it. Hopefully, him getting in the game ahead of Ryan and the others means he may get it. We'll find out soon enough.
Re: GDT: Wolves at Bulls
Another possibility is Garza gets the 15th roster spot, and both Ryan and Nix get two-ways...
Re: GDT: Wolves at Bulls
That's certainly a possibility that I have entertained. I kind of want Nix to get a two way even if he spends most of his time in Iowa as I think learning from Conley would be invaluable.
Re: GDT: Wolves at Bulls
We have some good problems on this team.
Heading to Vegas next week...will be playing several futures on my home team for the first time in a long time

One more thought.
I'm still very high on Josh Minott. He's not ready yet, but for the most part he looks better every time he steps on the court.

Re: GDT: Wolves at Bulls
Watched in on a delay tonight. A few thoughts...
- The Bulls have a really good perimeter defense thanks to guys like Williams, Caruso, and Carter, so it didn't surprise me that things started a bit slow and was kind of a grind. Fortunately, the Wolves have an even better defense. I think we could be a really hard team to score on when we lock in. Not sure how we'll do when teams go small and stretch everything out.
- Is Luka Garza seriously on a 2-way again!? It's absolutely nuts that he isn't a fully rostered player somewhere at this point. The dude can just flat out score and at least works his ass off in every other facet of the game. It would be an absolute joke for him to play a second in Iowa. It's not even competition for him at this point.
- Miller looked awkward and sloppy in his minutes. Just sort of an odd player. Good motor and sturdy body though.
- I'm having second thoughts on jettisoning Ryan. I don't know....having a borderline 3-point sniper like him that can hold his own defensively against bigger wings. Just tough to let that go even though it can be a struggle at times for him.
- Ant sort of laid low and missed his first few shots, then put on a a bit of a show later in the first half. I mean, that was impressive. I really like that he is trying to get the ball to Rudy. And he actually connected with him once!
- Love that NAW picks guys up at full court. He's just a bulldog out there. Can't imagine what our defense would be like with NAW, Ant, Gobert, and McDaniels on the court. Stick whoever else you want with that group and it should be a suffocating defense in theory.
- Not real impressed with Milton tonight.
- Peak Jordan McLaughlin appears to be back!
