Was there ever any doubt? As Garnett said, “Taylor is a snake”. He is such a piece of shit. He saw the opportunity for more cash and made it difficult.

What a clown show. The hope is that everyone underneath ownership can stay the course.

That's what it sounds like and makes sense. If the value went way up it would make it only much easier to get money to make the purchase. If not simply add more investors to the package. Yeah sure I'll pay 60 cents on the dollar. No problem.

I’m actually going to defend Taylor here. If Lore/Arod did not have the money I do not blame them. And I hate Taylor

Not all that fond of Taylor either, but I'll join kek in another defense. It seems that Lore and ARod have been a little sloppy in following all the parameters of this deal and missed a couple deadlines, and Glen is taking advantage of their sloppiness. I don't think they ever intended to pull out...why would the prospective owners be showing up for so many games, both home and away, if they weren't in it for the long run? During the interim time between when they agreed on a price and now, the value of the franchise has skyrocketed...reportedly hundreds of millions of dollars. And Glen is exercising his rights under the agreement to pull out, since he knows he can get more money from someone else now. Also, it's apparent the parties don't like each other much...I always found it odd that they never interact during games.

So some here may say, "What a dick". But let's put it in non-billionaire terms that we commoners can comprehend. Let's say you entered into a deal to sell your house for $400,000. During the due diligence period, the market goes crazy, and now your house can be sold for $600,000. And the potential buyer (whom you've grown to dislike during the process), while still interested, is in technical fault on the deal. Are you going to say "Ah, it doesn't matter...I'll forego the extra $200,000 and honor the original deal, even though you screwed up and I don't really like you very much." I'm honest enough to say I'm going to take the extra $200K.

Maybe there's a little Glen in all of us...

It's not that A-Rod /Lore are blameless, but the reason why it's even taken this long is because Glen wants to draw it out.

As for the valuation, Glen was offering it for below market value THEN. Why? Because any time someone was willing to meet market value, it always came with the hope that the new owner could relocate the franchise if need be and Glen is so against that, he wants it in writing that they'll stay in Minnesota. It's why after a day of lasagna in Naples, Glen was on board. It's never been that he can't get more money. The issue has always been, whoever buys it doesn't seem too keen on the team in Minnesota, especially with Target Center. If he even found another suitor with twice as much money, is he gonna put that group through another 2-3 year apprenticeship before he finally lets go or is he gonna get cold feet? It's evident that even if you had 8 billion dollars and wanted to buy it, he's not gonna sell it to you, wish you good luck and go on his merry way. He's gonna want you to learn on the job, which gives him enough time to reconsider it all, and based on his comments, that's what he did.

He'll be on with Chad Hartman in half an hour, but his comments so far are

Glen Taylor to @TheAthletic
: "We're just saying we had a contract with you guys, you've had your time and this is the end of the contract and we're just kind of go on running the way we've been run."

Taylor tells @TheAthletic
that he does not plan on putting it back on the market: "I just think built this team. We've got the players now. And it appears to me that we should have a very positive run for a number of years, and I want to be a part of that."

Keep in mind, he woulda been a minority owner had this deal gone through, so he would have been a part of that, but he wants to still be front and center.

The whole thing sucks, looks like Mr. Telosa and his close up magic may have been smoke and mirrors. I think Taylor is a bit to blame either way by purposefully giving himself a way out if the team appreciates and/or not properly vetting the king of digital diapers. What is definitely true is that next year is going to be a mess with our financial situation.

Nah fuck this. I always said the Wolves would not continuously win (and definitely not win a championship with him as the main owner). Honestly I tuned out for a couple of years mainly because of Glen...and only really started paying attention again once the sale announcement was made.

Lo and behold when Glen sells the team and Marc/Arod bring in their guy as GM things turn around....only to have this happen. Ugh, I guess enjoy this year
