Really, Abe? Sometimes we have to put our hate (and most of us have it for anything LA) away and look at the big picture. Would you really rather play the Nuggets in round 2 with no home court advantage than having home court advantage over the Lakers?

I'm all about the Wolves and the Lakers in round one...go DLO! Anybody else here with me?
Go DLo Fungo? Blasphemy
Ha, I know...nobody here probably ripped DLo more than me when he was a T-Wolf. But that was then, and this is now. I had a long conversation last night with a Laker fan who has hated DLo since they got him. But he had to admit that Russell is having a really good year, and has become a significant third wheel on that team.

And I have to stifle my Laker hate in order to come up with the best scenario for the Wolves to get to the finals.

1) Find a way to beat the Suns in round one
2) Beat the Lakers in round 2 after they handle the Nuggets (everyone has to admit we have a better chance against LA in round 2 with home court advantage than having to play the Nuggets, don't they?)
3) Beat the Thunder in round 3.

Now...if the Wolves lose the first two games to the Suns and advancing to round 2 seems like a lost cause, I will jump off the Laker bandwagon and start cheering for the Nuggets. I'm nothing if not flexible.

I grew up a Celtics fan. I'm a provincial rube from Minnesota.

There's no reason to ever root for the Los Angeles Lakers.

It's highly improbable that the Lakers can win anyways. If LeBron can turn back the clock just maybe they have a chance. He is starting to look real old at times though. I don't hate the Lakers like others. I would be fine facing them, I just don't think they will win. I think we can beat the Nuggets, along with maybe OKC and the Mavs if they are shooting hot. Phoenix as well. I'm not sure they are unbeatable like I am hearing some talking heads say. I don't see them as the "heavy" favorite to reach the finals. We'll see though. I'd be shocked if they cruise like they did last year to the finals and chip. They may make the finals, but I think the series will generally be closer.
