Nice!
I am not a conspiracy guy (although I am superstitious - so I'm glad Tim kicked of the thread again). Regarding conspiracy though...it does seem like a lot of series that start 3-0 end up going to 3-1. Because I'm not a conspiracy guy I believe in my heart that must be due to teams just getting mentally weak as in thinking "we only need to win one out of the next four!" vs. "let's choke the life out of them now that they are down". But, there is possibly room for some conspiracy thoughts too because damn - there must be a lot of money to be made by allowing these series to go longer. I'm not saying - I'm just saying...
Yeah, that's where I am too. There are a lot of reasons the refs might have at least subconsciously wanted LA to win that game...west coast bias, extend the series, etc. But Denver actually ended up shooting 7 more free throws than the Lakers, even though the Lakers were getting most of their points in the paint. Weird.
But yeah, I'm much more worried about a defensive letdown by the Wolves tonight than I am the referees. I think we saw it in the first quarter in game 3, and I hope they can avoid it tonight. But it's difficult to bring the kind of defensive energy we have been bringing every night, and overconfidence after winning the first three may kick in tonight. I still am 99% certain we are going to win this series, mainly because a 3-0 team has never lost a series and we look like the better team. But I'm making the 3-hour round trip to Phoenix later today to watch the game, and I'll be a little crabby on the drive back if we get our asses kicked like we did the last time I went to a game in Phoenix a couple weeks ago (I started that GDT though...we're much better off with Tim kicking it off).
Let's go Wolves! It was fun seeing a bunch of pouting Suns fans on my TV screen Friday...I wanna see then in person tonight!

60 Win Tim kicking off the thread for our 60th win may counter-balance the 2 pt movement in the line since Foster was announced

"This postseason, Foster's reputation for extending playoff series came back to light due to a few Twitter users.
As the 76ers held a 3-0 series lead over the Raptors in the opening round of the 2022 NBA Playoffs, it was announced that Foster would be officiating Game 4. In response, fans quickly pointed out that when Foster officiates a postseason game, the team facing a series deficit tends to win.
Following Toronto's Game 4 win over Philadelphia in the opening round, teams facing a series deficit improved to 19-2 when the game was officiated by Foster."
Scott Foster's history with Chris Paul
"Each postseason, Foster's history while officiating games that feature Suns star guard Chris Paul comes to light.
At the time of this writing, Paul is 0-14 in postseason games officiated by Foster, including Game 7 of the opening round in the 2020 NBA "Bubble."
Now it doesn't help that Rudy did that money sign that got him kicked out of the game the last time Foster reffed a Wolves game.

It's weird being up 3-0.
Logically, I know if we don't win this one, we've got up to 3 more shots at it. So the pressure should be somewhat off.
At the same time, while I know nobody's ever come back from being down 0-3, that can't continue forever. Boston almost did it last year.
Emotionally, I don't want to give them any reason to have faith, and I think getting this crowd to turn on them again might actually be our best chance to really just crush their spirit. If we can build a nice lead and hold it, the boo birds will be out for Ishbia, Jones, and the big three, and that is obviously demoralising, no matter what KD says.
So I REALLY hope we come out and just put them away.
- Exceed their energy, especially on D
- Make the smart, safe play on offense
- Ignore the refs, Booker's BS, or any lead they may build--just stay emotionally steady until the end

Win it for Finchy. He should not have gotten blown out in the COY vote. Let's remember how many people said this team wouldn't amount to anything with Gobert and Towns.

A brilliant marketing move would be for Wolves to teach the crowd a new cheer: “Do It” pause “For Mike”. And repeat.
