I didn't watch the game either, but I suspect a lot of his points were after switches. That said, Finchy did call out Jaden in hi post game saying he had to be better at the point of attack.

Quite a few pick and rolls, where Jaden was going under the screen and Murray would take two dribbles and make the three.

Thats the feeling I got, trying to remember the plays from the little package. But did see Murray had 47 I think? Yeah not good defensively. Sure it's not "all on him" of course. But Finchy is probably right on track calling his defense out.

Murray was blazing hot. Most of his makes came after Jaden got switched off or with Jaden's hand in his face. I don't know what Jaden is supposed to do. If he gets aggressive at the point of attack the refs put him in foul trouble. if he doesn't he gets switched off. Based on what I saw you could name a lot of guys before you got to Jaden for defensive lapses.

There was a lot of good play in the first half of this game. Everyone stunk in the 2nd half in my opinion. Rudy and Mike worry me, especially Rudy. If he is declining as much as it seems there may not even be a market to dump him.

That's the problem. Jaden fights through screens and he gets called for fouls. When Dort does the same thing he gets away with it. Even Randle is given more leeway than Jaden when fighting through screens. I wish there was an easy answer. It's like we have to choose, either Jaden plays more passively or he spends a long time on the bench each half.

Is he really not fouling though? I know he's been in foul trouble a lot for much of his career, but I think he's gotten technically more sound. IDK about how he fights through screens versus other players, is he grabbing the screener, hooking them?

When I watch Clark and NAW (miss him already) they were/are maybe just quicker and more effective? I don't know what the answer is. I do know if your man scores 47, hard for me to give you an A grade. I doubt he'd say he played a great game though. No need to sugar coat it. Obviously there is a chance you play elite defense and the guy hits miracle after miracle. But thats very rare.
