I guess I am turned off with the constant effort to use a run game to set up the pass when you don’t have the running backs to do it. I would rather use the passing game to set up the run. Yeah, we might take some lumps along the way, but at least it might lead to something down the road.

You’re giving no chance for your young quarterbacks to develop any sort of rhythm. And you don’t have the running back horses to win with run heavy offense. So you’re just playing losing football AND not putting a young quarterback in the fast lane for development.

Terrible year for KOC.
He called like 75% pass plays two games ago and no one in the NFL calls more pass plays on 3rd and 4th and short and no one is worse. We call the most and the worst at it (both highest called and least converted by %)!!!

Just run the ball on 4th and 1. If you can't get it you don't deserve to win anyways.

Listen I would lean pass too, but KOC tends to go overboard. Something like 55% pass 45% run. Even 60-40 is fine, but 75% like that one game was crazy.

He is now trying to run maybe too much? Maybe? But you got a backup Oline again. You simply cannot pass a lot, that'll never work either.
So just go out with a whimper and take the loss, without accomplishing zippo to develop your quarterback and waste a whole lot of money invested in wide receivers.
Did we really think we had a shot? I was just hoping Bromser would play better.

I think the only chance we had to win was to run it well and shorten up the game, maybe create a bunch of turnovers. But we turned it over ourselves.

They also lead the NFL in drops (percentage). Worst in the last decade. You can't make it up. They are that bad. Shouldn't be, but they are.

Thats what the announcers said last game.

I get it, many passes are a touch off too, but still, hit your hands. You kind of have to catch it.

Well, it leaves little doubt on who should start next week!

And good for Brosmer to get some reps under his belt. Even if they included a lot of lumps.

My thinking going into the season was. OK revamped oline, Jones back, running game could be great, great receivers, JJ shouldn't have to do too much.

BUT, oline injuries, can't run well (they're OK) can't pass block well because of backups (lots of injuries for most games) and the WR's drop every other pass it seems. You need your "great players" to help carry them. They didn't.

Just everyone is trash.

Yeah, I think our receiver core ranks very high. But when do we think Justin Jefferson asks to be traded. I know there have been drops, but a lot of that has to do with QBs throwing passes that are difficult to catch.
