thedoper wrote: Tue Dec 23, 2025 5:54 pm Thanks for this list. It is crazy to think how much the PG position has changed in the last 20 years. It seems like Finch is trying to make Rob into an old school PG when they dont even exist anymore.
But that's probably the kind of PG that works best with Ant - a high IQ set up guy. Like you said, not many of them out there anymore and they often have other flaws.
I wish we had that guy next to Ant, dont know if that player exists. Somehow Finch gives Bones freedom to be a scoring guard. Maybe Finch thinks somehow he is more responsible for Rob’s development since Rob is going to be here as long as we want him?

Trae or Harden are both ideal fits in my opinion

Trae is just such a liability defensively.

Not having to blatantly hide a player is such an advantage. That gives me major pause with Trae

And pundits are starting to catch on that Atlanta played much better when he was out. They’re niw 2-6 when he plays and 13-10 when he doesn’t. Not a winning player.

I would really like to believe the LaMelo Ball could become a serious ball player cause if that were the case he would likely be the biggest multiplier you could add.
Unfortunately.....

There is some Collin Sexton steam. Sounds like the Hornets want to make a playoff push. I just don't see the matching salary that makes sense. Mike, Rob and and Lenny get us there but that isnt a playoff type move for them. So then another team would have to want those guys. Mike is also playing pretty well in his role.

I'm growing pretty skeptical that anything goes down, which is fine because everyone is playing good basketball for the most part. Maybe another team wants to make an upside swing on Rob and/or TJ and that could make some sense.

I really don't see what Sexton does for this team.

Also Charlotte saying they want to make a playoff push is hilarious

I like Sexton but I feel like Bones can give the team most of what Sexton would if that move was made.

I know he really has his detractors but if his contract wasn't so bad I would take Fox in a heartbeat.

Ant/Fox/DDV would be an unrelenting backcourt

And I only bring it up, because rumor is that SA still may be looking to move him (probably cause of his massive incoming pay day)
