They only thing I saw was some mere "wishful thinking/speculating" on Jonny K's part. That ain't exactly traction...

The post I saw was from Charllie Walton, but it didn't seem to reference any real information.

Dougie reporting the Wolves are diligently trying to re-sign Bones and Slomo. Sounds like they want Unc Mike back too. Also said it's hard for him to see Green on the roster come opening night and the main question is can they pivot him without giving up someone like TSJ.

I don't get it with Bones. He's a good shooter but wants to hoop too much and plays outside of structure too much for a guy of his abilities

Yea I'm a bit perplexed as well, especially after drafting Isiah Evans who kind of fits the Bones profile. If there's a free roster spot and he's happy take the vet min, then sure.

Depending on how they use Ayo they may need another guard.

Bones Hyland was a HUGE help last season... especially in the 2nd half of the season as the Wolves pivoted away from Uncle Mike.

Averaged 11+ ppg on 40%+ 3fg over the final 30+ games.

Obviously, he was overmatched once the playoffs arrived. But, low-cost bucket-getters have value while helping teams scrape together regular season wins. There's no chance Isiah Evans is going to be ready for that role this season.

Yeah, I enjoy him playing here and would like him to stick around. He plays with joy; you can tell he loves the game and has proven to not lay down and quit. When he gets hot you leave him in and let the electricity run. If he's cold, and shot isn't falling, you accept that it isn't his night and sit him.

I agree. If it were up to me, I’d trade Green and Mo for a starting or at least rotational PF. I’d then use one vet minimum to sign Jeremy Sochan as a high-energy, rebounding big off the bench and then use another vet minimum to sign Bones for some extra PG depth. We’re going to manage LaMelo’s minutes to protect his ankles as Charlotte did last season when they limited him to 28 minutes per game. And I think we’ll need to manage Ant’s minutes in light of the knee issues he faced at the end of last season leading in to the playoffs. Ayo will play a lot of minutes spelling both of them. I see TSJ (if we keep him) as Jaden’s main backup at the SF position and if we see Jaden slide to the PF position a lot as I suspect we will, that will further increase TSJ’s minutes at the three. Clark gives us some additional depth and defense at the 2 and 3 spots, but we can’t count on him for offense and he can’t play the PG position. So it seems like a no-brainer to bring back Bones.
