We would be better off waiving and stretching Green (not saying we should) than taking on some of those long term salaries like Pat Williams and Jovic.
unless the Bulls give you 2 firsts attached to Pat (and even that will cost you Shannon), there's no reason to take on a top 3 worst contract in the league.

Also, when you're in the first apron, everything is dollar for dollar. Most of these guys make slightly more than Green, even if it's $1 more.
Just for fun looking at the per 36 numbers of Williams and Green and you may as well play Green at PF he is simply a better player and only grabs a rebound or so less than Pat Williams. Lol from reading a little on some Bulls message boards it seems like Williams can still be a useful bench player but a couple people said he simply isn't the same player mentally after one of his injuries. All his aggression on offense is basically gone especially dunks. Looking at his dunks the last couple. Years they are definitely way down. When I was looking for players to trade Randle for I kept wanting Pat Williams to be a young but low option but the more I dug into it the worse it seemed to get.

This.

Granted they still need a rotation PF, but they have to be able to shoot. I still think Kenrich is the best option available baring a trade.

Another factor is that we have no idea where folks like Rocco and Beringer are developmentally. Perhaps, internally they don't want to insert someone in their way?
Thats probably not the case, but the fact that there are players on the team who could potentially fill this role is worth mentioning, and eventually they'll have get something out of the pipeline

I think it was Jon K that recently said they believe in Rocco's ability to at some point be a stretch Big.

Or is TC forcing a play style on Finch by going "small"?

Everyone want to kick Green out, but he's a good player. At the end of day the surplus of guards/wings isn't a bad problem to have and if they're patient an answer should reveal itself
I don’t see any realistic option out there worth giving up Green, TJ and Donte.
