Ironically, they might be fielding a HUGE lineup in Summer League with Rocco at the 5, Joan at the 4, Freeman at the 3, Evans at the 2, and Pullin at the 1.

I think they are really trying to workshop the high-low two-man game with Joan and Rocco, whereby Rocco plays a stretch 4 on offense and a traditional drop 5 on defense with Joan playing the 5 on offense and switch-y 4 on defense.

Zyon Pullin is a somewhat forgotten name, but damn, he might be just below the threshold of the athletic baseline needed to play NBA guard because he's close to being too good to play in the G-League at this point. He just may be one of these Triple A types that can't quite break through to the Majors. All the skills are there and folks will see how smooth of an operator he is in Summer League.

Pullin has too cool of a name to not make it in the NBa though. Zyon Pullin up from deep!

Isiah Evans will need to wait longer because the trade can’t become official until July 9th due to Gueye not being able to be traded until then

I'd call him an outlier. I would also say that while it's not brute athleticism, his ability to use his stocky body and elite footwork to get shots off or draw fouls is also very unique.

I'll add that Pullin is 6'3.5" without shoes but has less impressive wingspan at 6'5.75". That's a lot bigger than Brunson and a pretty solid size for a PG especially since he is far from a skinny dude.

I'll add that Pullin is 6'3.5" without shoes but has less impressive wingspan at 6'5.75". That's a lot bigger than Brunson and a pretty solid size for a PG especially since he is far from a skinny dude.

He reminds me of Jamal Murray, both in his physical profile and his actual game when I watch him play. Just a really smooth game with a deadly pull-up 2-pt jumper and solid 3-point shot. Both had similar measurements at the combine in terms of height, wingspan, weight, etc. But Jamal Murray out-jumped him by 5+ inches in the vertical and that tells you a lot about where Pullin stands athletically, as I don't view Murray as having elite athleticism by NBA standards.

He's getting too good for the G-League, so I just have to wonder what else could be holding him back from landing a standard contract and the only thing I can come up with is that the size, speed, and athleticism of the NBA trumps his skill-set, at least for now. May be he's even more skillful after another offseason and can make the leap, IDK.
