Teddy has had it rough. The oline the past 2 years has had some bad luck with injuries all through the depth of the line. Wentworth was a guy they seemed to really like and he had some health issue and had to leave the game this last offseason after like a year in. That local undrafted kid got hurt early in preseason this year. Obviously the last 2 years they have had huge injuries to starters along the line. I do think the Vikings have not done enough to the depth of the line but there is also some bad luck also. Hopefully some of the guys they have added this year can develop and be legit depth guys and possibly be something more down the road as well. AP had a couple really good blitz pickups in the GB game so maybe he is getting back to being more functional in that regard which would be a big boast.

Back in first place. Remaining schedule looks very tough. This should be fun. Love Zimmerman as coach. For the Sam haters they seem to have similar attitude.

My cousins' husband was down here last week for the holiday from ND and he said as much as he dislikes the Vikings he has to admit he thinks they finally have a really good coach in Zimmer and he really likes Zimmer a lot. He thought Vikibgs fans didn't really like Zimmer because he doesn't pander to the media. I don't get that sense at all but maybe it's because I like Zimmer a lot and get a kick out of him. Lol

SP: AP's carries are very high. I tend to think they are going to grind every little bit out of him this season then let him go before his roster bonus vests.

Monster: Who does Fox show in Neb? I always thought it was MIN, but I guess depending on where you are, it could be STL or SEA.

FYI or anyone that need the info 506sports.com is great to see what games are on local TV from week to week. The Vikings are on a lot and alot of NFC North games make it. I have a friend with NFL Sunday ticket if I can go watch the game at his house if it's not local. I used to go over there almost every week but sometimes the college kids that are over there drive me a little crazy. Lol I think you are right there are a lot of Rams and Seahawks games though.

That would be horrible in terms of player relations and could negatively affect them for years. If you treat your teams HOF player like that how will you treat the journeyman? AP will be absolutely on the field in a Vikings uniform to open the new stadium!

Two other thoughts:
1. If they Vikings passing game was even average they would gladly reduct Peterson's workload. They aren't running him hard by choice, but by need.
2. Even with the miles they're putting on him this season he'd be far and away the best back on the team going into next season. With the dire need along the offensive line you damn sure don't cut AP and draft a RB, and nobody on the team is good enough other than AP.

I like Jason's takes but the reality is that AP isn't going anywhere. The Vikings have a pretty solid history of having no problems paying guys that produce and AP is doing that. They didn't hold onto him last offseason to cut him after he finishes the season as the likely rushing champ or one of the top guys in that catagory. Through 11 games he leads the league in rushing with 1,164 yards and 8 TDs and seems to be getting better as the season goes on. We have seen some other older running back have a rejuvenated year like Chris Johnson before injury and Deangelo Williams slimming down and taking over for Bell. Also Zimmer loves AP and so does Spielman.

I don't see them cutting AP. He has another year in him anyways. I am not sure about Norv being back though. The offense has not been good and a lot of that lies on the O-Line and the development of Bridgewater. Both of those things are Norv's to figure out. The team seems to have the talent on offense to be top ten in my opinion, but never seem to hit on all cylinders.

Norv won't be going anywhere either. The offense has been a dissappontment but it's because of that oline. I haven't seen the last couple of games but they generally seem generally overmatched most weeks especially protecting Teddy. Because of their defense they can afford to be less exciting to a certain extent also. While ranking in the bottom 3rd in pretty much every offensive catagory they rank 10th in time of possession likely because they rank 1st in the league in running the ball and don't turn the ball over a lot and have very few offensive penalities. Hopefully next year the line is healthy and we see a more wide open offense but I just don't think they can do it right now. Rudolph has been more involved lately so maybe that line is doing a little better and they have been able to sent him out more instead of likely keeping him in to protect. It also helps that AP has looked a lot better in blitz pickup and catching out of the backfield.

I also doubt he is gone, but he sure does seem like the weak link here.

It is pretty amazing what AP has done behind this line. Think of what he would have done behind the Cowboy's line.
