Re: Fantasy Football thread
I've been playing fantasy football for 20+ years.
I think the time has come to call it quits. I have the worst team in BOTH leagues I'm in. And there's no hope in sight. I've seen 30 minutes of NFL football over the past 5 weeks...
Kind of hard to keep pace in fantasy football if you don't even watch any of the games...

Haha, no, everyone's above legal age and all but one keep up with their teams pretty well. I just drafted well, played the waiver wire well and so far have made good decisions in trading players.
Re: Fantasy Football thread
I won my matchup this last week despite it being a massive bye week and Luck being out so I had to insert a QB off waivers. I ended up with Cousins. Not great but it could have been worse if I had picked Mallett I would have lost. Lol
I am a little excited about Andre Ellington. He got a couple carries in what I assume was garbage time and ended up with a big run. I may end up taking a page out of Cam's trade all the time playbook and move a RB for a WR where I am fairly weak. I am hoping DeSean Jackson helps with that soon.

Hey Cam how high should I be on Willie Snead? I would consider dropping Hankerson and putting me in a waiver claim for him.
Sometimes if I don't really feel strongly about anyone from the first waive(wave) on Tuesday I wait because sometimes people dump a better player than what I wanted and then I am there to scoop them up.
I don't think I will put in a claim for a KC RB at this point because I may believe is Ellington about as much as picking between which 2 guys will get the carries.

Here's what I told the guy I was trading Snead to. It's a selling point, but I'm also still a fan of Snead and have him in all my other leagues so it's not bullshit. It might be of some help to you, but keep in mind that I play in a 0.5 PPR league so the fantasy stats that I mention might be different for your league.
"Willie Snead is consistent. Hasn't scored less than 6.5 points in a week. Has three double-digit scoring weeks out of the five that the Saints have played. He leads the Saints in receiving yards and is second in receptions and targets. He's trending upward. 17 points this week and has arguably been Brees' favorite target in the passing game over the last two weeks. Proof of that are his 17 targets compared to Cooks' 17 targets. The difference between the two is that Snead has caught 67% of the passes thrown his way compared to Cooks' 63% for the season.
After this week, Snead's averaging 10.2 points per week. In comparison, Cobb's averaging 13.6 and he's a star receiver. That's WR1 production and better than Calvin Johnson and equal to Vincent Jackson and Jordan Matthews. And it only helps that out of that group (Johnson, Jackson, Matthews), Snead by far has the best QB in Brees."
In short, go pick him up for sure. He's 100% worth rostering.

Thanks for the input Cam I will look to pick him up either by waiver or if I decide not to put in a claim and he gets through to be a FA. He has had that same consistency with points in my league also.
Re: Fantasy Football thread
Can I didn't get Snead but I ended up adding Martavis Bryant last week which is looking good. I picked up Brandon Lefell this week and I have him on IR.
Ok I need some help because I am conflicted. Someone dropped Cutler and I am tempted to put in a waiver claim on him and drop Teddy. My league is a 10 team basically 2 QB league as we have a Offensive Player spot you can play a QB in. Teddy has been disappointing and while Cutler is a mixed bag as an NFL QB he has always been well above average when healthy in my league. Luck and Flacco are my other 2 QBs and we have a roster limit of 3 QBs. It's a keeper league where you can keep 2 players from your roster. Thoughts?

Re: Fantasy Football thread
I have him in my main league. Since he returned from that injury he had early in the season, his fantasy totals by the week were: 17, 17, 19.
That's really solid. He has Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal back too next week. Also, with the Bears defense being garbage, Chicago will find themselves in a bunch of shootouts. I think you'd be wise to add him.

Thanks Cam I am putting in a claim. 2 people are ahead of me but only one is a threat to pick him up and he should but who knows a lot of people miss the later wave of waiver guys. That's how I ended up with Olsen.
Edit:
I got him.
