I agree with that, but also think they just missed so bad on him. He was one of the worst rated OL in the draft. They thought they saw something, but obviously it wa s bad pick. Could have drafted a somoene better at that spot.

You didn't like the pick from the beginning and you look good right now and the pick is bad. I'd prefer to see how the season plays out especially the Oline and see what happens but yeah it looks like they missed. It's also a bit tough to give the team benefit of the doubt they haven't exactly nailed Oline talent although they do have a new line coach but of course he probably liked Beavers. Lol

Think about this though. Right now the Vikings are without Sullivan (didn't play last year), Shepard, Loadholt (didn't play last year) and Harris that were on their roster last year. Two of those guys they voluntarily cut. MAYBE the talent in that group is finally moving in the right direction and the fact that Beavers didn't make it isn't so much they missed on him as the talent level is better than what we thought it was. Let's hope that's the case. If so it wouldn't matter as much if they completely missed on Beavers and he never even plays football again because they were right on the other guys. We will see its still a questionable group overall which is not a good thing especially when your QB group has some questions also. The rest of the team looks pretty well stocked.

Beavers pick is not going to kill the franchise, but it would have been a good spot for a DT or if they didn't worry about Teddy's ego so much actually looking for a QB depth that is not a never been in there late 30's or a undrafted free agent. I would have been looking Dt at that spot at the time, but also wanted QB depth. I am not sure I ignore that in this upcoming draft since Teddy will be coming off injury and Bradford could very well not make it through this season or get injured.

I really like what the Bronco's did. Austin Davis is a good pickup. I am not an Elway fan, but the guy has turned out to be a great GM. I think that was a good move. I wanted us to go after Davis here. I would have wanted him even with the trade for Bradford. I would love to see us grab Aaron Murray or Kevin Hogan. I would cut Matt Asiata, Brothers, or Sirles. Let the guy develop here. Can add replacements for those 3 to the practice squad. I think you might be able to get Murray for our practice squad without cutting anyone.
