Seems like Ronnie is a good pick up for depth, but we shouldn't get our hopes up that we have someone who is going to crack the running back rotation.
I am excited to see more of McKinnon. Plus we ought to see the ball in Bradford's hands even more, since we are not trying to feature AP, and both McKinnon and Asiata are superior pass catchers than AP.
Of course, we need our offensive line to pick it up...
Oh I think at some point Hillman will be in the rotation. McKinnon said a couple days ago that it was a committee even with AP which was true so Hillman if he is any good will get some snaps. Hopefully he is actually useful and not the next Ben Tate. I don't have my expectations super high but he seems like a nice pickup as a young experienced vet (he is 25 less than 2 years older than apparent fan favorite CJ Ham) that also happens to have played on 2 teams that went to the Super Bowl. That's not bad for a guy off the junk pile. The talent at RB at the end of NFL rosters that are good enough to play at this level is strong. Are those guys starters? Maybe some are but guys that are worthy of getting legit snaps at this level? There are a lot of them.
Also AP's surgery is finished and there seems to be no other issues with his knee which was reported that he may have an LCL tear. He could come back yet this year. I'm still pessimistic on that but we will see.
Zgoda isn't generally very funny, but I did chuckle at this tweet: "Anybody know who had the scoop today that Adrian Peterson's knee surgery was successful?".
I always laugh at the mandatory report that Player X's surgery was successful. Has it ever not been? I'm still waiting for this report: "Player X had surgery yesterday and it really didn't go very well...not successful at all. The surgeon may have been overserved at a party the night before, and made several mistakes during the 2-hour surgery".

At least he won't get stopped by the swift breezes that knock down McKinnon. It probably won't be great because it is the same O-Line, but it can't really get that much worse than it already was.
It will be interesting which formations he runs out of. I would like to see us go RB or OL in the 2nd round next year. We learned we need a real running back and I am ready to move on from AP. (ready for last three years)

Enjoy it, these will be his final 3 games in Viking purple.

Then only formations he's effective in are those that have him deep in the backfield. At this stage in his career he reminds me more of the boat anchor that Herschel Walker in terms of his lack of lateral agility

Noooooo!
Who is going to fumble now when the game is on the line?
It's the Vikings they will find a way.
Monster hit the nail on the head, with an obvious answer to an obvious question.
