I some god damn answers & I need the now.

Bleed, we didn't want to have to break it to you, but some of the guys here have been complaining that the Vikings stink when you tee up the game thread...and they asked me to handle it this week. Hopefully the Vikings will start playing well now that we have me starting the thread.

I know this is BS. There is no way the Queens will be able to stop Manning and Beckham with that overrated defense. It is not my fault. I am sure Manning will have all day to throw because he actually has guys that block for him upfront. As great of a coach as Zimmerman is you think he would find an offensive line coach that bases his principals on blocking instead of being obstacles.to the QB.

Exhibit A for why this board will NEVER allow you to start a game thread again...go back to NYC, you Giant lover :furious:

In all honesty I am waiting for this team to have a setback. I am not changing my approach until we stop winning because it is working.

Yeah, I know. The Vikings just seem so superior to the Giants in my estimation, this game has a potenital complacency vibe to it. The StarTrib picked them to win by two touchdowns, and that's kind of scary...I hope no players read that! Getting the players to focus like they did against the Packers and Panthers will be a true test for this coaching staff. I think they can do it though. While I have a nagging fear about complacency, I actually agree with the Strib's prediction. 24-10.

I do see us having problems with Beckham. I think it will be closer than that. Whoever is covering him is going to need a lot of help.

I will admit I hate it when the bandwagon gets full like it is now. In all honesty we beat 1 god team in the Pakcers and 2 bad teams that are both 1-3. Even the Packers have not been that great, but we will see. It should be a fun game and it is nice we have a MNF game in town.

I am still thinking at this point that the Wolves team has the best shot of winning a title in the next 5 years out of our major sports teams. (Sorry Lynx)

Good point about the Panthers maybe not being such a great win. I will say a counterpoint to your comment that they may have problems with OBJ...the Vikings did plenty good against Jordy and basically shut out the Panthers top guy. OBJ is better than those guy and who knows what Eli will show up so we will see.

Gotta win this game as the Giants will be desperate going into their game against GB next Sunday if they lose! How sweet would it be for the Vikes to put a beatdown on the Giants and then have the Giants take out their frustration on Rodgers?!

OBJ is a top 5 WR. Maybe even top 3. He toasted Josh Norman this season. Should be a tough test.

Another way to look at it is OBJ toasted what has been one of the worst defenses so far in the NFL. What I read was Norman didn't do all that well but they played some zone and he didn't shadow OBJ the whole game. One big key is whether the Vikings can keep getting the type pressure on Eli that they have so far this year. It's been pretty impressive and it sure helps the coverage do their job. Like I've said the Giants you never know what will happen and between Eli and whatever they do there they seem to be able to find WRs that can do good things. You are right Bleed it could be a good test and more of one than may seem at first.

I hadn't heard about the Carolina loss yesterday until now. Yeah, bleed is right...that win on the road we all thought was so exceptional is tarnished now. Something's wrong with that club.

It would be foolish to underestimate Beckham because he is truly exceptional. But monster's point about us neutralizing Nelson two weeks ago is well taken...and don't forget...we did that without Xavier Rhodes. Our secondary looked much better last week with him back on the job. I just sense that Zimmer's aggressive defense is going to make life miserable for Manning tonight, and that will render Beckham relatively ineffective. When Hunter is in there, I don't think there is a more intimidating set of defensive ends in the league (and Robison has been great this year too), and the way Zimmer uses Smith in his blitz packages always seems to confuse offenses.
