Anybody have any thoughts?

To me if they sign this guy there's a deal in place to send Plouffe to Milwaukee for Lucroy. I also don't care what league you play in 53 home runs with 85 walks and average of 343 is damn impressive

Plouffe for Lucroy #PipeDream

Well this is not happening. I would hang on to Plouffe unless you get a flame throwing future setup man/ closer for him.

Nice article this morning saying the Twins expect to sign Bunghole Park (did I get that right? my Korean is a little rusty), and I'm fired up. We all expect some dropoff from his Korean stats of .343 and 53 HRs, but looking at the first year stats of Pirate Jung-Ho Kang (.277 and 15 HRs), I note that they didn't drop off too far from his typical Korean stats. While he had a huge year in Korea in 2014, in the 6 seasons prior to that he averaged about .290 and 18 HRs...i.e. not much of a dropoff at all. Park is going to strike out a lot, but if his stats next year resemble in any way his Korean stats, our lineup just got even more potent.

Wow, what a classic uppercut HR swing...there will be lots of K's, but lots of dingers too. I'm glad too that he behaved after he hit it, because there's video out there of some dickish bat flips by Park. I don't mind a little cockiness, but I don't want him taking one in his ear.

I read somewhere that he has been told by the Twins that if they bring him over, he has to lose the bat-flip. No confirmation as to the rumor that he was told that by Kirby Puckett's ghost.

Off topic question: I also read somewhere that John Mayer is now touring with remaining members of The Grateful Dead. Is it true? Is he being received well? Has he renamed any of the groupies "Sexual Napalm II"?

Ha, no comment on the groupie renaming, but Mayer played with the living Dead members (except Phil Lesh, who's done touring) in Minneapolis Saturday night and got great reviews. Odd coupling, but as poppish as Mayer can be at times, he actually is a very good guitarist and vocalist...bluesier than the Dead, but apparently able to adjust. Sounds like it's working well. Brings in a whole new audience.

As for the bat flipping, they had to tell Sano the same thing as he had quite the rep in the minors. He adjusted, and I'm sure Park will too.

Park started cutting out the flipping in this last season in Korea because someone from the team he plays on told him he couldn't do that stuff over here. There was a story about how after cutting back on the flips one game he hit a HR doing a flip and then coming back to the dugout and apologizing to that person. I don't know how hard it is to change that habit but he has already worked on it.

last report I heard was that Park is traveling to Chicago to see his agent on Sunday, then to MN for a physical.......

Has anyone heard what the years and dollars look like?
