That was funny. Looks like we got 3 more picks.

In the past, I felt like there were guys I liked in the 6th and 7th round. I am not seeing it this year. I think these picks are good picks to try and move up a pick or 2 in earlier rounds.

Sutton Smith is an interesting late-round prospect. 26.5 tackles for a loss to go with 15 sacks at Northern Illinois. Undersized, but seems like a Patriot type player they look at as a player and find a spot for him.

Made me think of a documentary I just watched on my flight home.

What did our TE's do last year that was so impactful to the offense that we need to add to the position? That just seems like such a low impact move to draft a TE. We need linemen on both sides of the ball, a LB, corners and a slot receiver.

I just want Rudolph and Morgan healthy all year. Remember when Rudolph couldn't stay healthy? I probably just jinxed it but he hasn't missed a game in 4 years. I'm also curious about if any of the other young TEs on the roster can help. I wonder if the new offensive braintrust will have some sort of philosophy when it comes to TEs that differs from last year or whatever.

We struggled a lot when Morgan was not healthy. I think we should add depth and if we don't have better value early and can draft either of TE's from Iowa I think we should since they I would project both of them to be better than Rudolph. Fant is a guy that is going to be tough for LB's and Safety's to cover. Think of him as a similar blocker to Rudolph, but better big play receiver that is going to get some YAC. Hockenson is not the same burner type at TE, but a better blocker and still is a tough cover. He would be as much a help as a blocker in the running game as he would passing game as a receiver. I like these guys earlier since in my opinion, they don't seem to be busts as often WRs. I would be happy to take a WR in the first 4 rounds. Not sure it has to be a slot guy since Thielen is very good in the slot.

Combine week.

Waynes is on the trading block. I would love to see us trade Rhodes for Gerald McCoy. Salaries match and we wouldn't need to resign Richardson.

It's here already!?!??

Waynes being available...or teams calling and the Vikings listening makes sense. The Vikings have basically an excess of CB and a draft coming up (they could even get a player they like outside of the top 4 rounds in addition to UFA). So I'd guess teams have been calling and Waynes makes a nice chunk of money this year. I wonder what they have been offered/what would be their price. People would get upset but even a 2nd rounder would be a nice return considering you would also save cap money. Maybe his value isn't that high but last year a lot of young CBS changed teams and they seemed to carry a lot of value and Waynes is more physically gifted than some of those were.

Tough to say, but if they can get a 2nd rounder we should do it.

I was surprised to see Zimmer to get extended to 2020, but it makes sense to line him up with Cousins.

I don't think we can trade players for picks right now. Those are almost always moves that set you back more than propel you forward and we're still on a bit of a clock while Cousins is the QB. Why get worse for future flexibility when we are trying to win a Super Bowl in the next 2 years?

Kahns its not just about trading for picks it's about having cap space to work with why this trade is considered. Let's say theoretically a team would offer up a 2nd round pick for Waynes. So now you have 9 million minus the salary of a 2nd round pick in cap space you can use for either resigning a player or adding someone via FA or even a combination of those. It's playing for the future AND the present. Obviously trading CBs is not always ideal especially with Rhodes having problems staying healthy and the rookie coming back from an ACL tear but you gotta consider making a move like this. They can't keep everyone and a 2nd rounder (just theoretically estimating what they could get) can be pretty valueable especially if they become a worthwhile player quickly (possibly even this season) they are very cheap.
