The Wolves are now 15-9 (.625) this year when both Karl-Anthony Towns and D'Angelo Russell suit up. That includes a 7-7 record against teams .500 or better. They're 28-21 (.571) when they have both played since the trade that brought Russell to Minnesota.

Love it. I know there's the Magic game, but which other game did they not play more than three quarters together? We're two games apart on these even though I like yours better.

How are you getting that recorded (I might be off) wolves were 13-11 last year when they played. 15-15 this year but 0-1 without Kat and 0-5 without Dlo. Then I don't count the magic game because dlo left at half with an injury when the wolves were up double digits.
So 15-8 when they play 3 Q.
So 28-19 overall

The Minnesota Timberwolves are 28-21 (0-1 in 2019-20, 13-11 in 2020-21, 15-9 in 2021-22) in the 49 games that Karl-Anthony Towns and D'Angelo Russell have played together.
If you don't count the Magic game, then they're 28-20. I think the difference in our numbers is the game against Toronto on February 10, 2020 -- the lone game they played together that season after the trade.

That is the one!

Easy points...veteran savvy. The kind if stuff teams used to do to us
Yup, like that play a lot better than the heavily contested 3 against Kleber or whoever. Just because someone is a theoretical mismatch doesn't mean a tough shot is any easier. Now if he blew by him to open things up, that's different.
Same shot he made twice against Philadelphia. You live with those.
Doesn't make it a good shot either way. He had 12 or 15 seconds left on the shot clock. Plenty of time to either try to drive by him since he was pressed up or move the ball. There is a reason DLO historically carries a low TS% - he tries too many super hard shots that should be reserved for when the shot clock is winding down.

Nowell and McDaniels absolutely huge off the bench tonight. We don't win this game without those two knocking down some shots.

I'm not saying D-Lo doesn't take bad/tough shots at times, but he makes plenty of them, especially in big moments. To get those that he makes, you have to be able to live with the ones he misses. It's part of who he is as a player.
Not to mention, he was pretty efficient tonight. If all we're doing is seriously critiquing one bad shot in a win, then I think we can live with that. Good game.

Also, Jalen Brunson is going to get PAID this summer. I don't see how Dallas can afford to let him get away, but he'll have multiple suitors for sure.

DLo is a really good basketball player when healthy. There is no way around it. Not great, but really good. Go Wolves.
