I like Bridges. He looks like the perfect backup SG/SF for us. Even could maybe be a starter. Brings a physical presence on the wing we don't have and likely will let Shabazz walk if he gets a big offer. I am curious about Edrice Adebayo as a longterm answer next to KAT.

It is about time this thread really takes off.

There was once a time I was interested in the draft lottery. Not anymore. As I've mentioned before, the last thing this team needs is some lottery pick to come in and go through potty training the next two or three years. I've seen enough of that to last me a lifetime. It also adds further fuel to the "we're young, be patient" narrative, which I'm also tired of. I'm hoping we take the best prospect available and swiftly shop the hell out of him.
WON'T BE FOOLED AGAIN!

Q - I hope we find a good player. Maybe the next Paul George or Klay Thompson. Someone not drafted in the top 5 that turns out to be an all-star after a few years. The player we should have traded was Dunn at peak value. This draft looks to have good prospects. Dunn being the 5th pick in last years draft showed how weak that class was when he wouldn't have been picked in the top five the year before and didn't get that much better as a junior.

Caleb Swanigan looks like fit next to KAT.

I'm assuming you have never watched him play. He is a great college player and maybe my favorite college player but he is a terrible defender and that is not due to lack of effort.
I think he can play a role as a rebounder and possibly a good low post scorer who can hit a mid range jumper but next to KAT he is a terrible fit.

Have not seen him play, but like the idea of a big bodied player in the post on this team. Certainly not a lottery pick that is for sure. I don't think we have a 2nd rounder though if he falls. Maybe Edrice (BAM) Adebayo would be a better fit.
Positives
Strong, physical big man
Explosive leaper
Solid rebounder
Good shot blocker
Finishes above the rim
Excellent running the floor in transition
Motor
Can guard multiple positions
Negatives
Basketball IQ still emerging
Needs to develop a perimeter game
Tweener

We should probably just go after a Taj Gibson or sign that type of player. No reason to waste a draft pick just to put a big body next to KAT especially considering most college bigs aren't prepared physically for the NBA even if they look the part.

Agreed. I like the idea of picking players by highest tier. If you have more than one player in a tier available you should pick the best fit.

I'm reading the book "Boys Among Men" which was highly recommended by a couple posters a few months ago. The bottom line is there will be really good players available when the Wolves pick and they shouldn't pass up one of those guys because that player and this team is too young.
