I haven't seen Jones prove himself to be so significantly better than the rest of our frontcourt that this would be worth it (and we do have a lot of front court players, including one more after tonight). I wish Bazz's defense was better, but he's still a promising young guy, and I think could be a key part of the future on our wing. If he and LaVine both work out, we've got our wings of the future.

To be fair, Jones was a starter who shot 54% on a 54-win team.

I'd say that's significantly better than anything Muhammad, Payne, Dieng or Bennett and maybe even Pekovic has accomplished in the NBA. Could be fool's gold playing next to Harden and Howard. But he had a good season in 2014 before the odd injury this season.

I would not trade Bazz. I would've ditched him for sure after his first year, but that guy was arguably our second-best player on the court last year. It would be nice if he had more of a defensive game, but the dude just pulls points out of his hat. I wouldn't trade him.

I'm a huge fan of two way players. That's why I love Towns and Winslow and think Russell is overrated. Shabazz is better than I thought he would be, but I would swap him for a two way player like Winslow without hesitation. Would I trade him for Portis? Not sure.

Is Winslow still a legit 2-way player on the wing?

Didn't he measure shorter than most people thought? I thought I read where he's only about 6'4." And I also read where his lack of handles and ability to create are his greatest weaknesses.

So, pushing him into a position where he'll need to do that more often? Maybe that's why some of the steam of him flying up the draft has subsided. I like the guy... but not as a guard. He won't have to play guard, right?

I'm not sure where the lack of handle and ability to create scouting report came from, but that is pretty far off. His best offensive weapon was getting to the rim and finishing which requires a good handle and is a great means of creating offense. The dude flat out assaults the rim when he gets the ball and rarely settles for jumpers that are contested. He measured shorter than hoped, but he could definitely play the two with his handle and how he attacks the rim. The way he drives to the hole is in the mold of Harden and Ginobili with the eurosteps to create the extra space needed to get the shot off.

That's sort of my point. I'm only going off hearsay here... but the prevailing thought is that he was matched up with taller, bulkier guys at Duke that allowed him to use his athleticism to get to the rim. It's noted that he started to turn it on once Duke ran with smaller lineups with him at the 4.

He was still finishing at the rim at a high level all year. Playing against bigs let him get more clean shots at the rim, but he was still finishing over the guys his size most of the year. Bud looked great at the 4 this year. That doesn't mean he won't be able to play the wing at a decent level. Winslow's not getting drafted because he lit up a bunch of 4's. He played SF a lot of this year. At the end of the day the NBA has more space to work with. Him playing the four put another shooter on the floor and gave him space to get cleaner looks at the rim. In the pros that space is created just by a longer three point line and gets bigger if you have shooters around him. The way he was finishing at the basket all year has me confident he can be a wing and still play as well.

Just looked at two scouting reports. Both have "finishing vs. length" as a weakness... for whatever that's worth.

I like the guy, quite a bit actually. I think his defensive versatility would be especially helpful in the NBA. But I liked him better when he looked like he had the size to be a small ball PF at times.

Looks like the fashion award may be going to Rondae Hollis Jefferson for stealing Paul Bunyan's shirt and turning it into a pair of pants that he expertly pairs with an otherwise traditional suit on top. Interview that guy on camera chest up, and he appears normal. Pan out, and you realize you are talking to insanity itself--a man who thinks his upper and lower halves live in different dimensions.

I know, I know, many of you will be saying D'Angelo got robbed. But he's made the mistake of actually being too tasteful--which I didn't think you could do while dressed as a strawberry. Like the shoes. Suit looks good, bow tie works, pants solid. Really like the shoes (I'm sure my wife would know the term for those sockless loafers). It's loud, but just too tasteful to take home the big award tonight.

Towns may actually come in third in the fashion draft. That is a massive herring-bone pattern he's rocking on that jacket. Could do some cross-country skiing with those tracks. Just right for Minnesota?

Still very disappointed in "Trilly," who is clearly not living up to his adopted name.

Same here. Black suit and tie would do it. Extremely boring.

Late second rounder.

More like UDFA.

Overseas prospect who might make it back after several years seasoning.

That's funny because my understanding is a lot of Europe is more about classic styles. I would go with something classic too or maybe I would go plaid just for kicks.

Speaking of Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, when did all these NCAA players start patterning their names after the child actors from Home Improvement?

I like Winslow but he is shorter than expected but probably will still be able to play some at SF if he ends up being the 2-way player he is projected to be. I personally think he has plenty of handles for his age to be a SG. I like him a lot if a deal was on the table for Bazz for a pick to get Winslow...damn that would be hard because I like both guys but I think I would take Winslow. So would most GMs so that's not going to happen.

Plaid is my favorite color

Yes. Jones is much better than ab, payne and bjelica. Anytime you canmake a big upgrade, you do it.

I kinda wish Russell Westbrook was an incoming draft prospect right now.

That guy dresses like he's batshit crazy sometimes. (Plays like it at times, too.)

According to tweeters at the draft, Porzingaling is apparently 7'8" and Towns and Okafor barely 6'7". Why didn't we know this BEFORE?!?!
