I don't foresee KAT playing like ass all year, which he's done consecutively against Memphis.

This team goes as he goes. Everything else -- every other player -- is irrelevant if he isn't at least the KAT we know him to be.

Yes. And no.

The team still lost 10+ games in a row last season with Towns having another wonderful offensive season. He's not a player who's proven capable of leading a group of complementary players to anything close to a winning record. Yet?

No, but I'd be tempted to bet the over on their 22.5 wins this year.

I want to say I'm not one but nervous. It's the preseason. I mean the suns have been blown out twice, same as the bucks. There are concerns but it is just the preseason and in no way am I going to overreact

I can see Towns starting out slow which we have seen before with no particular reason. This year he has a legit reason to not be playing his best out of the gate. Towns is a legit offensive talent he will put that part together combined with his rebounding the help the team. It may take a few games for him to get going but he will get there. He has a legit track record of being a really good player it's more likely he will get back to that than be something much less than he has been.

I think we should have an "on second thought" wins and losses thread before the season begins. The more I look at this roster and the lineups that have been thrown out there, I may have overshot a bit. Lol

Ha, this is the point of putting out the predictions BEFORE pre-season. Us pessimists saw some of this coming!

- KAT not being at full strength
- Defense still being a major problem
- Edwards being a big time net minus player, but understandably needs to be spoon-fed minutes in order to develop, which in turn holds back the team's chances of winning.
- Head-scratching offensive sets.

Yeah. Sure. Of course.

But I was on a deep dark slippery ride of despair. I knew it wasn't wise. I knew this team had burned its fanbase countless times before. I knew it's never good when the organization is downplaying the team's potential. All the signs were there.

All the signs are always there.

But when is enough enough? When are we beaten down beyond repair... beyond redemption? I tried to trick myself into holding onto hope a bit longer. I'm a rube. I should have known better. Actually, I do know better. I simply wanted to see how this shoe of optimism fits.

It sucks. There is no optimism with the Wolves until they prove capable of doing even the itty bitty things right. 35 wins!? Meh. Everybody here knows 25 - 47 was a much more likely prediction from me. But you don't want to see me if this team actually does that.

In fact, you might not. Eventually, I have to just walk away.

We are tied for the youngest team in the nba, haven't played a game in 300 days and are 9 days into training camp with a team that barely played together last year. Trust me I'm not wearing rose colored glasses, I've seen zero improvement on defense so far but I'm going to give them a little slack for now.

On the inverse we had multiple practices during the bubble to establish a system and an identity because the only major roster changes were Ricky and Edwards and we currently look like we don't know how to play basketball.

Whatever we predict, we deserve half of that. I'm convinced some of y'all would be better off not watching these games for the sake of your mental health. Some of these reactions are wild.
