Given the landscape of cap money available this season, he believes both NAZ and Randle will opt in on their player options. They both can still negotiate an extension beyond next season. We'll see what happens...

If they both pick up their options we are about 15 million below the 2nd tax apron to start the free agency period. We have 13 players signed if we keep Josh, Luka and Miller. The 17th pick would get about 3.5 million so we would have a little under11.5 million to add one more player and stay under the 2nd apron. We could actually get under the 1st apron fairly easily if they wanted to if both Randle and Naz opted in and we kept both and let NAW walk. Or they could use some of that 11.5 million to bring in a point guard on an exception and stay under the 2nd apron.

Randle on the roster would really dampen my enthusiasm for next season. I don't want to have another whipping boy. Find a way to not bring him back.

I guess it depends on who are we getting back. Durant is obviously on the market. We could trade Ju with our picks this year, maybe sign and trade NAW in that package, still not sure if the math works, I'm just spitballing an idea.

Basically give up both out picks and Ju for Durant. Durant would be much more favorable in getting buckets versus OKC, he's one guy who can microwave points and elite at it taking a lot of pressure off of Ant. However, I would still be a little weary on something like that. I could see the upside though.

I doubt we could compete for Giannis asset wise, we'd almost have to move Rudy for sure, I don't see how two non shooters could work offensively. Though I would love to think we'd have a chance to get him, it seems very unlikely.

Could just have been in the moment don't tip your hat talk, but in his exit interview he said he plans to stay in Minnesota this summer to work on his game.

Ju did a Sam Darnold with the season on the line.

So you are saying we should trade him to the Seattle Supersonics? ;)

He did. His bully ball play doesn't work on them. They just swarmed him and took the ball over and over.

You would think by game 5 he would know not to try and dribble / back down dudes. Even with that move, he wasn't getting anywhere close to the rim. He was just getting shut down. What bothered me the most was his quit afterwards. Not getting back on D.

You just need 3P shooters against that defense or maybe prime 2000 Shaq. I can't think of any dudes now who could really overpower them.

The quitting is what sealed it for me. You just can't have that.

Unless we use 17 to dump Ju and get Durant, I want to keep the pick and get the best rim protecting big available in the draft. The defense wilts without Rudy and we need a good back up center and an eventual replacement for Rudy.
