Interesting that Julius Randle has been benched for an extended period. He has been the leader again of the 'lack of effort' club. The fit with Ant / Rudy and his terrible demeanor and effort is just a really bad combination for this team.
Moving him should be this teams priority this off season. It should have been done at the trade deadline when he actually had some value.

Worst thing that could have happened was Lebron not being available this game. 2 trips to the WCF where you got your asses kicked should not make you cocky but here we are
Re: Are We Serious? - Wolves at Lakers GDT
Ayton just dominated Gobert this game. Absolute masterclass in Center play
Re: Are We Serious? - Wolves at Lakers GDT
It feels like this teams floor and ceiling is based on what mood Julius Randle is in. I'm not talking solely about tonights game, just in general this season.

only saving grace tonight is that Shannon got to see the ball go in the basket regularly.

The Wolves record with Grady calling games has been bad. Keep him off our playoff call, please.

I'm not an anti Finch guy, and for most of his tenure I've been impressed, but the last two games have been incredible indictments of his offense.
There is no creativity and whatever answers he's giving to the players either don't work or he isn't getting them to buy in.
The team will bounce back, but there just aren't anymore excuses for this team in my opinion. They have been healthier than every one of their competitors, have a walking top 10 defense in Rudy and one of the most dynamic offensive forces in the league. 5th or 6th in the West is inexcusable at this point

Unfortunately this team goes how Jaden goes. Jaden shooting 9% worse in losses and 14% worse from 3 in losses. No player has those extremes on the team. Can tell you right away if the wolves win or lose based on how Jaden plays (that is a credit to Jaden to how far he has came but also the extreme inconsistency he has)

I genuinely didn't understand why Shannon wasn't in this game much earlier. He proved in the playoffs that he could defend LD and AR, and score on them. We are obsessed with players we "trust" (I trust that it isn't working...and there's 100% something broken in the Chem dept!)

Just a weird season overall. Top 10 in Net, Offensive Rating, Defense rating, have a potential all nba first team player, a top 3 candidate for DPOY, the favorite to win 6MOY, 6th best start in franchise history through 65 games, second best in the last 20 years. A game out of the 3 seed.
Everything says we are a legit contender to win it all. But just a weird season. Don’t know if this is normal and we are expecting success and when it does not happen we get pissed even though we are a damn good team in general.
Weird season, going to be honest it’s the first year in a long time I’m not fully locked into the wolves (women’s basketball has taken my love). But still think their ceiling is really high. I do think an early exit means a huge trade and a potential finch firing will happen this offseason (I blame finch a lot less than most)
