Well that trade is looking pretty stupid even if it was just Kessler for Rudy (considering contract and age)... I hated this trade from the start and it's worse than anything involving Dlo. To all those people who said that late first round picks don't matter, I laughed at you then and I laugh at you still now. If the goal was to make the DLo trade look good in comparison, then TC succeeded with flying colors. See Q? I'm not just a Dlo basher, I hated this trade from the start. Oh and edwards takes too many I'll advised threes and misses way too many layups... no way in hell does he deserve to be an all star.

Edwards youngest player in NBA history to make 500 3s, in the 79th percentile of percentage of shots at the rim and in the 19th percentile it percentage of shots taken from 3. Argument could be made he shoots not enough 3s

I'm not mad about this one. I will say all the fire Connelly talk online is really annoying.

Yeah I don't want anyone fired for a while. Would like a nice 5 year run to evaluate. Old school. I've had it with the immediate gratification attitude.

Refs were pretty one-sided and we didn't handle it well with 3 techs. Missing Gobert really hurt, too. I guess we are joining the wrong blob, although a win against Denver would make up for it! ;-)

Not saying it wasn't an open shot, but game on the line and 1 point lead I would like an inside shot where most nba players convert at about 50 percent or better. Would rather have seen ant take that.

When D'Angelo Russell, Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, and Kyle Anderson were all on the floor tonight Minnesota was a +13 in 14 minutes.

Chris Finch didn't get that foursome on the floor in the fourth quarter until 1:26 was left in the game.

Inexcusable failure to get your best players back in the game early enough to decide it. Minnesota got hosed by friendly fire tonight.

Missed this one because (some of us had to go to work on MLK day!), so I don't have any insight into who to point the finger at (players or coaches). But man, very painful to look at the box score and see what Walker Kessler did. Ouch.

We just can't seem to get the sustained traction we need to make a big playoff push and can't keep dropping winnable home games like this. Just a killer loss.

Abe's Early Evening DVR Review:

- When Michael Beasley and Jordan Clarkson are doing crafty vet moves to trick the other team into foul after foul... you are one dumb fucking team. For reals, that was a HUGE difference in this one. Jordan Clarkson and Micheal Bealey... savvy vets for the win. SMH.

- I was impressed with Walker Kessler. He rebounded. He scored. He made quick decisions with the ball and got assists. And he scared the Wolves from attacking multiple times. (20/21/4/2 and only one foul) Where do we go from here? Regardless of whether or not Gobert makes it back to the level he was once at... the massive overpay could go down as being historically one-sided.

- Kekgeek likes to post the stat about how many straight buckets the opposing team scores when Gobert is out. And we should all be familiar with Towns' ridiculous on/off stats through the years. At what point, do we call out Naz Reid for his defense? And how much is a good backup offensive center who's undersized and can't play defense?

- Speaking of centers, Garza was bad. Really bad.

- I felt like Utah simply had better athletes in this one. The Wolves won the TO battle by a ridiculous 18 - 5 margin... made 18 three pointers with efficiency... and yet they still lost to a team without its clearcut best player.

- And that makes this not the worst loss of the season... but another bad loss nonetheless.

McDaniels was wide open for 3. It was a good shot he missed it. IMO Edwards made the correct play and may even had been what was talked about in the huddle before the last possession.

Yep. With only 3+ seconds to set up the shot... I thought a wide open corner three was a great look.

Much better than many other last-second shots I've seen.

Heck, Utah just lost vs. the 76ers by one... and their last shot was atrocious with Clarkson heaving it up over two guys from 27 feet. And the Jazz had 5 seconds to set it up.

4:45 mark. I think every team would take that corner three if the right guy(s) have that look.
