Very healthy attitude...I can learn something from that!
And you're correct that the Big 5 didn't look as Big this past week. In all fairness, Mudiay isn't playing and Okafor, Russell and I believe Johnson all were out or slowed with injuries. Only Towns was healthy, and accordingly he had the best week (although I'm not sure how much stock we can put into his dominant performance against that midget Auburn team).

i have hope that AB and Payne can provide sold minutes at the PF position. I am starting to think Dieng will not develop into a starting center in this league and we are going to have to look for options for when Pek is hurt or his contract is up. It certainly am hoping Pek gets less minutes in the future and he is healthy the rest of the season. If he does that and rebounds from his historically bad shooting start he might have decent trade value this offseason.

Towns didn't just have the best week, he's had the best month of February. He's coming on very strong and forcing his name into the top pick consideration.

Those turnovers were killers. Protect the ball and the Wolves might have won in spite of their horrendous shooting. But can't overlook the poor shooting either.
Rubio had 5 turnovers, but he's our PG and is the only bona fide ball-handler in our offense. He also compensated for those turnovers with 4 steals and 9 rebounds. Martin's turnovers were particularly unacceptable. He had 6 of them, which is totally unacceptable from a SG who doesn't have substantial ball-handling responsibilities. He had only 1 steal and 1 rebound. Yes, he had 21 points, but those points came on 28% shooting from the field. We need Martin's shooting, but he has to do a much better job protecting the ball.
Plus how many ridiculous or stupid shots did Martin take? Especially the completely off balance shots and not just his normal fade. He probably threw away 10 total possessions himself. Nonetheless, I don't mind hard fought losses even if they shot themselves in the foot a bit.

Isn't Rubio supposed to be an excellent man defender?

This cracked me up. I am still laughing.

Just looked at the popcorn machine game flow and Gorgui and Pek were a +4 when on the court together last night.
On the season, they are a +5.5 per 100 possessions when paired together at PF and C. The only other player Pek has a better +/- with is Rubio.

Ha, and the crowd got a kick out of it too! Ricky isn't the first defender that Harden has made look foolish...he toys with defenders out there.

Harden is such a unique player. Talented guards can do so much for your team. Makes me wonder if Russell would end up being the best pick for us. I feel quite lucky to be a Wolves fan after all the years of misery. All of the options moving forward to couple with our young talented roster is pretty cool.

Harden seems a lot more powerfully built than Russell, so I'm not sure that's a realistic comparison. He goes something in the 220-225 range, which is huge for a SG.
The thing that bugs the hell out of me about Harden is his foul hunting. He's worse than Martin in the way he does unnatural things with his shot and body to draw contact. It does force the officials to make calls and they are probably technically correct to blow the whistle, but man, I'd love someone to just hammer Harden and show him what a real foul feels like instead of the B.S. he's always manufacturing. Where is Bill Laimbeer when you need him?

Our version was released and he resigned with the Mavericks.
