Way too many empty possessions. Just a killer. I liked the action a couple plays ago with Beasley and Edwards playing East-West and then finding Russell in the corner for a one-dribble pull-up. That's good basketball. Dribbling down the floor and yanking a tough jumper or Towns playing in isolation from the top of the key just isn't making the defense work.

Can't have D-Lo and Beas shooting 4-21. That's just not it. Absent the 21-point eruption in the third quarter, Ant was pretty awful offensively too. Too many duds from guys that will be leaned on heavily for scoring.

Team was unable to adapt to the physicality down low and not getting any calls there early on. That official was shocking. Because of it we resorted to outside shots and poor ball . There are going to be nights when officiating is going to go against us, we just have to learn to adapt.

60-41 rebounding, and it seemed like 6 of ours were in garbage time. That is what were going to get when teams gameplan for our midget team.

KAT was insane in the bad way again tonight. The refs didn't help. But I don't think he's popular with many crews and he does kind of flail around.

Super disappointing loss tonight. Some of these guys need to reconsider their shot selection and come out more disciplined next game -- namely D'Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards. Russell's known for being a tough shot-maker, but some of these are heat check level shot attempts in games where he doesn't have it going. You want those shots back. They're only hurting the offense. And Edwards can have all the talent in the world, but if he thinks he's Steph Curry he's not going to be the star Minnesota needs him to be. I'm aware he shot 4-11 tonight from three, but he has to force the issue and get into the paint. That 6'5", 230-pound frame does more damage at the rim than it does from behind the arc. It's inexcusable to hoist jumper after jumper when you have those physical gifts.

On to the next one. Minnesota travels to Milwaukee on Wednesday for what would appear to be a near-certain loss. A surprise victory would make up for this defeat, however.

Some of that rebounding differential is simply because we missed so many damn shots and defensive rebounds are easier to get than offensive ones. Still....that's twice in a row now JoVal owned this team on the glass. He's not the only big, strong Center in this league.
