That's right you corrected me on this before if I remember right but what team is going to offer something the Wolves won't or can't match? They would have to offer what like 4-5 million a year?
Considering I don't see Minnesota putting themselves in the luxury this season, anything over three-million a year probably puts us at risk of losing him.
I wouldn't think it will take more than around $2.5 million per year for 2 or 3 years to sign JMac, would you? I think the issue for him will be whether he wants to be here as part of such a crowded backcourt.
The questions is whether there are other teams out there who would offer him a better opportunity to play.
Isn't that question irrelevant? He is a restricted FA, so the Wolves get to determine if they will keep him or not, not JMac.
It's not irrelevant if the Wolves intend to do what they did with Beasley - i.e., sign him before any offers from other teams to avoid a bidding situation. If JMac doesn't see the Wolves as an optimal opportunity to develop and showcase his abilities, then I would think he'd wait (and his agent would seek) offers from other teams who might offer an amount the Wolves are unwilling or unable to match given how close they are to the luxury tax threshold. It's just part of the calculus.

Complete disregard for defense. Miracle if we come out better than bottom 5 rating. Can you imagine us playing the Lakers this year? I guess our plan is to shoot them out of the gym? Yikes.

The Lakers are a nightmare for any team this year. They could rock you big or small. They have done incredible so far.
Has Rosas figured out how to build a roster for matches yet?

Yeah diversifying the portfolio has not been the approach. We can go small or smaller.

Yeah, it is just bizarre.
What happens if Juancho gets hurt (he is not a starting PF anyway)? We run Layman or Vanderbilt?
What happens if KAT gets hurt again? Davis and Reid are your centers?
I honestly do not get it.

KAT is the house of cards this team is built on. If he gets hurt it's over. There is no backup plan if he misses time. We'll just proceed to get absolutely killed on the boards and we'd have zero scoring inside the arc.

We dont even have a viable option to last 5ish games if he gets hurt. That is a huge problem in the West.

Absolutely right, Kahns!
