Would be interested to hear what you guys think Portis does for the Bucks. I was really hyped about the Bogdan trade when it came out, so that is disappointing. But does Portis help them at all?

Maybe their ownership is not thrilled with the idea of luxury tax? It does seem strange after all these years of acquiring assets their stars are Kemba, Brown, and Tatum.

I've liked Bobby Portis since he was in college. Very solid big, especially off the bench. Spaces the floor, rebounds well, and plays hard. Pretty worthwhile pickup, in my opinion.

I like Portis and think he'd be a really good addition to the Wolves for the MLE. Otherwise, I think the best realistic alternative for the Wolves right now is probably Nelens Noel. Right now we have no good interior defenders on the roster. Noel would help in that regard. As we all know, the Wolves had the third worst defense in the League last season. That won't get this team into the playoffs no matter how good this team is offensively. Adding Ricky will help defensively, but none of the other additions to date will do anything to improve the team's defense.

I've seen Rondae Hollis-Jefferson's name floated out there as a possible fit. He defends well, and can get out in transition, but don't expect him to make anything outside of the paint.

I guess he knew what he was doing opting out.

I think when someone opts out of that much money they usually have a back up plan in place. That's a real contract. Wow. Ball and Hayward.

I'll say this...the Hornetss have Batum and Zeller coming off the books after this year so they have a bunch of space so maybe overpaying Gordon makes some sense. IDK how things will turn out but Graham, Ball Gordon, Washinton and some C (zeller for now) isn't the worst group I've ever seen.

That is actually a solid group in my mind. Hayward can play. If he is healthy and made the number 1 option, he is a all
star in the east in my opinion. Graham is going to be a stud. Pj washington reminds me of a young milsap. Ball has a good group of guys that he can play with that will highlights his strengths. Zeller is a solid defender and finisher in the paint. That is a good starting 5.
